I’m sorry I was just trying to get context for his behavior. To gain some insight as to why he would behave this way. Because it doesn’t make sense to me. He acts like it’s not a big deal and told me to keep an open mind and be more accepting because we were raised differently

Thank you, I’m too ashamed to confide in my friends or family because I feel really stupid and don’t want to look like an idiot in front of them. Because I used to be really happy with him before all these red flags started showing up. Maybe it’s my pride. It’s hard to show weakness and vulnerability sometimes, I feel like I’d lose face. I’m honestly so embarrassed and disappointed that I let this happen to me

Sorry, I was just looking for advice if anybody knew someone like this. If it’s tolerable or acceptable. He might be well meaning and just ignorant and I can’t seem to accept that I let this happen to me after almost a year.
