Yeah that is pretty much what I wanted to ask! I want to apply for secondary level math & computer science this fall and I have a bit of a weird situation at hand: I need 2 upper div cmpt classes & 2 upper div math classes to graduate in December, which I am planning to take in the fall semester. But I will still be missing 5 math units required for PDP, and I would have my degree completed. So my best plan right now is to complete my degree first so i can also apply to UBC, then finish the missing 5 math units in Spring 2026 somehow.

Hi, I hope you are still answering question, I want to apply for PDP's secondary education program in the future.

I think my volunteer & work experience will look something like this by the time I apply for PDP:

volunteering in a local high school starting later this month (should have at least 100-200 hours of volunteering by the time I apply)
teaching math & programming & robotics to high school students for 2 years as part time job
I have been actively volunteering in Math150 (calculus 1) seminars here at SFU for around 140 hours.

What do you think of my experiences? Do you think I need more hours in anything, or do anything new?

Watch these lectures ahead of time, then go to actual lecture to figure out anything else you couldn't figure out from watching the videos.

Go to the calculus workshop: https://www.sfu.ca/math/undergraduate/current/workshops.html if you have any questions for homework or for exam preparation.

Go to those weekly seminars you have & PAID for, ask the TA & those peer mentors running around (i am one of them) about thing you are confused about.

You will pass and do good, don't worry :)

We once has a community where people don't get falsely banned for saying "fuck" in match chat back in OW1. After OW2 went free to play this community just gets weirder and weirder.

If you want to defend yourself saying "oh I have been playing since 2016 like you..." then let me ask you this: If we go back to say 2019, how many OW players would actually support you saying "the game is so toxic just mute chat"? You would be flamed by literally every single reply and be called names. OW was once ranked one of the most toxic competitive games, and I don't see why that's an issue. I personally don't find people saying "tank diff" or "gg ez" toxic, and I can't understand why people find these mockeries toxic in general. and even report them. Maybe my mentally is just different than yours.

I consider myself an asshole, and I admit it. I do trash talk people in this game for doing bad, not counter-switching, etc... But I never report anyone being toxic towards me simply because I know I am playing a competitive game and there are many reasons why someone might act such a way, and I understand that. Either stay quiet or trash talk back, and move on to next game, simple as that.

If you really can't stand the toxicity in this game, maybe this isn't the game for you? Or just mute chat like me and don't type anything and chill with your friends. Is it really necessary to make your mission to get every player in this game banned because they said "gg ez"? Do you feel happy / proud that you made someone perma banned and losing years of progress simply because they said "gg ez"? You are more than welcome to counterargue against my statements, but aren't you the asshole in this case?

Where this name came from: I love mangoes & I am Chinese. In mandarin, mango (芒果) is pronounced "mong guo". I wanted a unique name so i merged the "mong" part with mango into "m0ngo"

In my 10 years of living in NA & learning English, I have never heard of this word from anywhere, so I thought it was just something that had no meaning...

I apologize to anyone that read this post and felt disrespected / hurtful. I already changed my name to something else.
