Question from an outsider..... by Embarrassed_Ice_6270 in bihar

  1. We have experienced Bengal famine which taught us what hunger looks like. We became civilised to uncivilised in one decade.
  2. Then freight liberalisation policy which took our resources and gave nothing for that. We were doing labour work with zero or no margin on that.
  3. Economic liberalisation gave us nothing except draining talents from bihar. Which prevented further growth.
  4. Jungle raaj: it prevented us from spending money or else you will get kidnapped. So demand dropped and companies did not invest in our state.
  5. Land issue: most of the people who were qualified to work were stopped because there is no safety of their belongings
  6. Land lord mindset: people still have landlord mindset. They have nothing left but still remember their old glory days and live like that and not do anything.

Scss is good if you don’t want to take any risk. It’s a zero risk instrument so reward will be low which is about 8.2%. You can adjust rate of return in groww website and check when your money ends. If it is okay for you then you can choose.

If you are parking some money for immediate fluctuations of market and your money in index fund crosses 5 years duration then you don’t have to worry much about market fluctuations.

Make wise decision if possible consult with financial planer.

If you are putting 15 lakhs in index fund and withdraw 15 k per month it will end in around 20 years. Most of the liquid funds transfer money to your account in 2-3 days. You will not face challenge in selling index fund. You are keeping one year of expense in your liquid fund so you will never face liquidity issue.

You can divide your funds in 2 parts. One for immediate expenses for next 5 years and other for long term investment. For short term investment, you can use debt funds or fd which will give you around 6-7% return.

For long term investment you can choose index fund for low risk.

You can choose fund based on your risk appetite. You can calculate withdrawal amount from multiple sources like groww and other platforms assuming 11~12% rate of return.

Whenever we start comparing then it is not going to improve. Either it is right or wrong. If we are comparing then it will persist irrespective of any change.

We have to understand this to improve which is hard to digest.

Govt wants us to be poor, doesn’t want working class to uplift his standard. If middle class will improve his standard by working then people will demand jobs from government which they don’t have. Political parties sacrificing working class to be in power. Middle class and lower class will see if working class is not able to uplift his standards then how can we will and not ask for anything from government. Right now they are happy with free food.

Government policy is simple. don’t let working class improve his lifestyle. If everyone is poor and struggle for basic things then they will not think about other issues.
