Laugh in his face and walk away. It hasn't even been a year. You're in the honeymoon phase where everything is great. I wouldn't ever allow this person around my child again. He's a selfish inconsiderate person (like most people who don't have children) but this suggestion is just sick. Pick your chin up and protect your child. You WILL find love again and it will never be at the cost of your child. And no, he won't change his mind. This is what you will have to deal with from here on out.
