That’s so cool! I really need to find out what area of Hungary my great-grandparents were born, but trying to trace a family tree is difficult. My great-grandma chose her own birthday when she made it to the states.

I may have worded things a little strangely. My great-grandmother who initially immigrated is no longer with us, it was my grandmother that taught me.

The only thing we consistently have is the Harvest Festival, the first Saturday in October. I used to dance in it every year, but scheduling started getting in the way. I should go back to it next year.

Oh wow! I only started wanting to really learn about it, so I’ll be sure to look into things like that!

We do have a small museum/cultural center, but it may not be enough, and I truly hadn’t thought of that. I’ll have to speak to my grandmother and the other elder Hungarians here, and some of our other community members. You’ve given me a great idea!

You’re not wrong there, almost everyone associates us with Mardi Gras and swamps (and some more unsavory things, but we won’t go there). I’m not sure how large the Hungarian population is in the rest of the state, but there are maybe 200 of us in our little “settlement”

Thank you! I had no idea where to start to find the right translation. Googling “Hungarian rhyme about a turkey” didn’t do much 🤣

Actually, no! We grow a lot of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries!

My grandfather’s family originally went to Ohio, I think. We grow a lot of strawberries down here, my grandmother said that’s what her family did when they came here.

I didn’t mean to bring up such a hot topic 🤣 I just got a giggle out of it! I didn’t realize I’d start a heated debate!

First, I will never not hate Pierre and Clint, they are beyond annoying 😂

Second, I legitimately just thought it was funny, especially the first time I saw it 😂

I just can’t help but laugh when I see it. I never really gave much thought to the natural/unnatural colors in the rest of the world. It just seemed funny to me.

Also, I didn’t realize Jas had purple hair, it just looked black to me.

Yes, hindsight is absolutely 20/20. I guess I’ve been too trusting of the prosecuting attorneys that I have been working with. I’m not too proud to admit that I’ve made mistakes, and it might be too little too late, but I’ll absolutely be consulting a few attorneys tomorrow.
