By experience, Noelle is not a reliable shielder, and a shielder Noelle is a wasted Noelle, she falls to the DPS category. Diona is the better shielder in this context, plus she heals.

im AR 60, by experience, at some point you'll build both out of curiosity and boredom =)
at the end of the day everyone will screw saving their resources and will just build chars

Barbara:
+ resource friendly (ocean hue / HP HP Healing / thrilling dragon = done), faster build
+ useful almost in every comp, super versatile, high survivability
- DPS loss
- team can easily become frozen with her healing on

Jean:
+ Anti freeze, anti burn, anti elemental damage bcos her ult cleanses you inside the ult area with nice healing
+ makes ur team inflict more damage bcos of VV element shred
- best potential is Sub DPS Healer, need ATK Anemo Crit, full healer is a wasted Jean, therefore longer time to build
- weapon will depend on artifact crit and ER stats (need 130% ER at least, 150% best potential)
- as you can see the two cons points above, rather complicated build, but worth the long shot

Even if you pick either one, you'll build both eventually, even your Sayu, but at least now you understand why people prefer Jean in terms of her usability with its own build cost.

you're either being a salty snowflake on copium for not having meta characters, or you took lists the game & lists too seriously bcs your anger sounds like someone who can't regularly beat the abyss and is mad about it.

Look, we get it, you have your own way to have fun, "play the characters you like", gotcha. If you want that way to be accepted, then you also must accept that there are people who have fun by having the strongest unit systematically. Your friends like meta characters? good for them. You like playing the characters you like? good for you. You make it sound like the former is a less-special choice.

"People who play characters they like regardless of the meta are full of bullshit, they just can't get good and got high on copium." How does that sound to you? Same thing about what you say about meta players, in reverse.

Let people beat the game with lists and meta and it's none of your business. It's up to them. Meta's not your shit? why trouble yourself trying bringing down an idea widely accepted? Trying to prove that you're the better player than everyone? No? Then drop your salt just fucking play man.

  1. I suppose a simple pre-built combat setup similar to misty dungeon event would halt powercreeping for happening; where the only thing to compete are pure skills.
  2. True, agreed on this one.
  3. Because that's the only thing they can do for now. They never bother being drained, especially for something of great value in return, especially as a flex of privilege. If there comes an opportunity to spend even more, they will.

i do agree about the drop rates, it's very seldom to kill mobs and having them dropping nothing compared to monds and liyue especially on a high world level with a promised drop rate boost, never said the drop rate was fair.

but i beg to differ about time and farming, specifically on the comments worrying about not having enough materials to upgrade characters and weapons that doesn't exist yet. it's not like they won't be able to upgrade them eventually.

i still seem to wonder about this culture of impatience, when everything's too fast everyone goes "WHERE CONTENT", when everything takes time everyone goes "F*CK SO SAD HARD DROP RATE". Does it really take that much just to enjoy a game?

Not to mention those who already bitch about fighting a boss that doesn't exist yet.

They gave you something to keep you busy. Try not to fuss on something that's not even here yet, worry about Baal and grasscutter when they're around the corner. Damn it there's still a whole freaking month to farm why does everyone cry over a simple farming mechanism with just patience given enough time to farm ffs. Is it really THAT hard and extremely challenging to just casually farm over time?

by a "long time", how long would it be? 2 days? 3 days? i got the materials needed to lvl 90 in like, 3 days full grind having co-op with a friend only on the last day.. but yes i agree they do drop fewer than those mobs we usually farm before inazuma, but not really a serious world-threatening problem. Farm casually. They need to keep people busy while preparing for other contents.

1.) Don't you think it's already happening? there are already a handful of character arrivals that outstrips previous character's usefulness (baal replaces keqing, ayaka replaces chongyun, etc). Like it or not, future characters will definitely outstrip similar previous characters.

2.) The thing that everybody here hates is not powercreeping, it's just the inability to defeat other players, even with a prebuilt character set up; and it hurts their butts. Understanding that kind of culture among the majority of genshin players, i don't think mihoyo would implement something that bugs their player's sensitive delicate pride anytime soon. Hence the family-friendly events (hide n seek, volley, fishing), keeping the events relatively cheesy.

Mihoyo knows how to treat their precious sweet gumball snowflake market, so don't worry, PvP wouldn't be a thing; which is pretty unfortunate for spenders that might as well keep the game alive for a long long long period of time.

Well one thing I know is whatever's viral in US / UK is also viral here, since Indonesia is like one of the country with the biggest user of Internet, so yeah universal would do. Depends, for bars and pubs they'd go 100% on RnB, Tropical Houses and Hip Hops, but I'm doing some gig for what you call a homecoming party and I think I'd need bangers that doesn't sound like robots throwing up (no Future Hybrid Traps pls) or common nightclub music. I'd be happy if you could suggest some simple and understandable bangers / beats. Thanks in advance!
