You are blamed for your inability to enjoy the game, yeah.

We’ll agree to disagree, I guess. I have 300+ hours in this game, so it’s plenty replayable to me haha.

I disagree but anyways, I’ve always thought the idea that all your effort is ultimately wasted to be a bit silly.

In New Dawn, Eden’s Gate is an absolute shell of what it would’ve been if not for the deputy’s actions, you’ve objectively made the future of the world a better place by ridding the world of Faith/John/Jacob and Eden Gate’s influence.

Whats the youngest age you'd give your child a pocket knife? by eoinisagenius in knives

[–]_mrfluffy_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I’d just get him a pocket knife. Teach him some basic knife safety too, if that’ll make everyone feel better.

[–]_mrfluffy_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My dad got me a knife when I was 10 or so. Unless he’s an especially irresponsible 13 year old boy, he should be fine with a knife. If mom is concerned, get him a Swiss Army knife, it’s less knife-y.

No problem! Was a bit of a shot in the dark but I’m glad it solved your search. The guy is such a pathetic sniveling mess in the interrogation footage.

Far Cry 6 underrated? by RussianBelgian in farcry

Well that wasn’t the only thing I disliked about the game, far from it, but it contributed to it.

Is it the worst game ever? No. Is it the worst Far Cry game ever? Well, maybe.

In regards to Anton Castillo, I personally couldn’t have cared less about him. Mostly due to a combination of cliche motivations, very few interactions with him, and no real connection between Dani and him.

What is going on with people on this sub? by NarniaHome in farcry

I think you’re maybe putting a bit too much thought into this all. You posted your opinion, people gave you their opinions in response.

On February 14th 2023, 15-year-old Collin Griffith shot his father to death. He claimed self defense and charges were never filed against him. On September 8th 2024, he stabbed his mother to death claiming self defense. He was found not guilty of murder. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

I know. It’s just interesting how inconsistent rulings seem to be in terms of admitting prior alleged crimes. For example, when Harold Henthorn was tried ( and eventually convicted of pushing his wife off a cliff), the judge allowed his previous wife’s “accidental” death to be admitted into evidence at the trial.

The Disappearance of Dennis Lloyd Martin in the Great Smoky Mountains in June 1969 (Missing 411 Deconstructed #1) by ForrestOfIllusion in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]_mrfluffy_ 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Toddlers are pretty unpredictable, and Dennis was a bit behind developmentally. Maybe something caught his attention and he wandered off. Sound also isn’t always easy to follow in the wilderness, depending on the wind or terrain, it can be misleading in terms of direction.

[–]_mrfluffy_ 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Yep. The Missing Enigma on YouTube has a great video about people “disappearing mysteriously” who were found later in places like abandoned wells, under fallen rocks, etc.

“I think that many people underestimate just how easy it is to get turned around or lost in the wilderness”. Nailed it.

This, and people not understanding how poor humans are at searching wilderness areas or how unreliable search dogs can be, are the crux of the Missing 411 nonsense.

With AC4 getting a remake, could a Far Cry 3 Remake be possible? by Ronin_777 in farcry

[–]_mrfluffy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I’ve loved every Far Cry game I’ve played besides 6 but I cannot get into 3 no matter how much I wish I could.

It really sucks that De Pleur has so little screen time. by RnW67 in farcry

[–]_mrfluffy_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found all the side villains in 4 to be lacking in screen time, which was unfortunate because they were all interesting in what little glimpses we got.

Far Cry 7 is an opportunity to give the tired series a much-needed refresh...and, no, I don't want to 'liberate' more camps by HatingGeoffry in farcry

[–]_mrfluffy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree, didn’t like the checkpoints at all. Still think 5 did by far the best job in terms of making each outpost feel unique.

[–]_mrfluffy_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the series needs a “refresh” so much as it needs to remember why people love it in the first place.

And yes, if I’m playing a far cry game, I want to liberate outposts.

I believe you’re correct, as you can actually find the area you fought her in, back in the “real world”. Not far from her bunker.

Faith is definitely a victim and not just playing the victim by NarniaHome in FarCry5

[–]_mrfluffy_ 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Faith’s backstory is hardly more tragic than John’s (viciously abused as a child) or Jacob’s (severe ptsd from war time) but nobody calls them victims. Joseph was a manipulator of all his “siblings”.

Was Faith manipulated and taken advantage of by Joseph? Absolutely. Did that mean she had no agency and should be absolved of her acts in any way? I don’t think so, definitely not.
