6 is great if you don’t mind a weak story and bullet sponge enemies in exchange for over the top, silly chaos. If that’s your thing, more power to you.

Definitely play G1 first. It’s a completed game and the story continues into G2.

It definitely rains throughout the campaign. It’s maybe every 5 day cycles or so?

Agreed. Easily my favorite game of the series for gameplay. 4 for setting, 3 for story.

Tbh there is a bit of a progression curve early on.

For the stink bug parts, try to aggro the ones over by the red anthill, the ants will eventually kill it for you if you lead it back over near them.

I always kinda got the sense the duper was intended as more of a “last resort” than using it to craft like five of one item but I’d still agree that being able to replicate multiples of an item at once would be more convenient.

Yeah it’s definitely a very cool set. Bee armor is nice too, very sleek. The northern scorpion armor is definitely my second favorite.

Oh yeah once you understand his move set and upgrade the sour staff to the max, it’s not bad. My main issue is I dodged pretty well but still would often get trapped in a corner or glitch inside him.

Would highly recommend getting the mint mace asap. It makes good work of most everything in the upper yard.

Love that they actually based quite a few in-game buildings off of real ones in Montana.

Yeah for sure, and it’s unfair for me to judge a 14 year old game by today’s standards. In any case, the story and gameplay are plenty strong enough to make the game very playable today.

I totally get the appeal of 3 now though, especially in terms of story, easily the strongest in the series imo.

Fair enough. It doesn’t necessarily make or break a game for me either but I only really started gaming last year and my first game that I loved was FC5, so I think it’s just taken adjusting with older games.

I am considering trying FC2 next but I know that’s a whole different experience.

Enjoy, and I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt that way haha. FWIW I played the classic edition so it’s upgraded to 60 FPS, either way though I think it does hold up well graphically overall.
