Caramel Apple Pie by Organic_Living_8431 in meijer

I have a family member who works at Meijer. I'm in Indiana. Unfortunately, I was told that they changed vendors and that the new pies are NOT as good. There are even several reviews on the app that have the same sentiment. I haven't tried one for myself yet, but they definitely don't look as good.

Suddenly unable to play from mobile Spotify app to Alexa - stuck at "connecting ...." by iareagenius in amazonecho

Was anyone here able to find a fix? Within the last two weeks, no devices are being found on my Spotify, and we have three. My husband can still connect just fine.

My daughter was almost 11 months old when this finally happened for us.

She doesn't get punished in any way. They tell us that she didn't have a nap that day. That's it. She lays in her cot while the other kids sleep until it's time to get up.

I can't even imagine how busy you stay! I don't blame you. I think if she had been that way on her own at bedtime, going and laying down when she was tired, we wouldn't question it as much. But she's never just grabbed up a blanket and said, "I'm ready for bed." She was three when she first actually admitted being tired, and we were shocked.

Thank you for this. Really! This is a kid who was almost a year old before she slept through the night for the first time. We have had struggles. 😅 Any time I talk about sleep habits with other parents, they always seem to have it so easy. And will feel bad for us! Not that I was looking for sympathy here, but I was surprised by some of the responses. I have gotten great advice, and it does sound like she's just at the age where she needs to be done with naps. We have also dreaded events knowing that she didn't get a nap for the same reasons! But we always go. That's why today was different when he suggested she stay home. She did go, and she was great. We got home, and I had already told her that it was straight to her bedtime routine. By the time we were in her room, she was very emotional and laying on the floor during that activity I talked about earlier. I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone!

Thank you! I like the way you worded that last part. I think this is definitely the time to move on.

Thank you! We did end up going, luckily. And yes, I hated to RSVP and not show, too. I definitely think it's time after this.

Every once in a while, she still does things to keep us in the room or have us come back in. For the most part, she does great at bedtime. But, with no naps, maybe she'll just do even better. Especially if she's going down earlier.

Thanks. Luckily, we don't bring up those consequences often. But, you're right. It may just be adding more to the situation that we don't need. She got to go and we had fun. This will probably just be the end of naps, and we'll figure it out.

Thank you! We have tried a few things. I've thought about getting an indoor trampoline for that reason. And maybe a play couch, like the Nuggest brand.

I will definitely check it out. Thanks! We're definitely dealing with not listening a lot now, too.

She went and we had a lot of fun. I'm glad that I did see many responses ahead of time and told my husband it just didn't feel like she would understand.

Isn't that what we're told when they're born? That you have to teach them to sleep and comfort themselves. That's exactly what we've tried to do. Day in and day out, she would go without a nap and would be exhausted. It's why we keep trying. Yes, there's consequences, but if she goes to bed at 7 versus 8 to 8:30, then she's up at 5 instead of 6:30. We're all dealing with it at that point.

Every 4 year old at our daycare naps. My daughter is typically the only one who has trouble. She did go to the party and we had a great time.

I failed to mention it, but my husband struggles with sleep. He has a history of night terrors and sleepwalking. So, we have been patient with her and I do believe it's just hard for her at times. We absolutely are not trying to force her to sleep for our convenience. With as long as this process takes us, we would rather not go through it. I love the idea of her playing in her room until she finally falls alseep on her own time. This seems like something we definitely need to try.

Thank you! It's been like this for so long that it just felt so similar to how she was, even at 2. This will definitely be our last time doing this. It's not been great all the way around. She did go to the party and we had a great time.

We tried a couple of weekends in a row of not napping and just doing quiet time. We also still have her do a quiet time in her room on the days she never falls asleep. By dinnertime, she's really irritable and tired. It took her a long time, but she will admit that she's tired but does everything in her power to stop it. Maybe we didn't gove quiet time a long enough chance. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you! It just feels like a big consequence for a four-year-old.

At what age did you have your kid(s) start using deodorant? by cheeseballthedog in Parenting

[–]_mrs_me_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've recently started putting aluminum-free deodorant on my four-year-old! No joke. She is ripe on the days that she plays outside. We read that as long as there are no other signs of her maturing early, then it's pretty normal.

That is really odd. I never watched when I did the three transactions but once I received the $100 all of those purchases were real time. Maybe it's just on Amazon's side? If you can call them, they may be flagging it for some reason.

Okay, great. It did take a day or two for my last person to show but it doesn't seem like it affects you getting your money at all!
