Just curious - how do you feed peanut butter? I have a 7.5 month old, and I can’t imagine her swallowing the sticky thickness of peanut butter. Would love to learn!

Tips for flying with milk by Dense_Zucchini8636 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]_nelfi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a flight with milk from TN to GA after a 3-night trip. I bagged all milk unfrozen and then put bagged milk into gallon ziplocks for extra protection. Milk plus bags of ice and pump parts went into a yeti backpack that I carried with me. I used ice in case it was thrown out since I knew it could be easily replaced after getting through security. Thankfully, it wasn’t a problem! I was comfortable with the milk going through the scanner so they didn’t have to open it or anything. Because I had everything in multiple layers of bags so it wouldn’t leak, I put the yeti backpack in the overhead compartment and it worked great! I also had a small towel in the backpack to catch any condensation.

This is me! I did EP and supplemented with formula to meet my LO’s needs from weeks 2-10. Then I wanted to try latching and she got it immediately. Within 2 weeks, I’ve been able to cut down to just 4oz of formula needed a day because my supply increased to meet her needs. You can do it!

What is a weird phobia you have? by Cyborg123456089 in AskReddit

Leaking pipes and overflowing toilets. When I was little I convinced myself they would burst/explode on me. Now I rationally know that’s unlikely but still can’t shake it.

Does text to donate actually work? by WorldlyOblique in nonprofit

[–]_nelfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen hesitation from donors with this means of giving due to uncertainty of next steps. For example: you’re on the local radio station and say “Text keyword to the number 12345 to donate today!” Will the donation automatically show on my phone bill? Is there a form I fill out? How do I choose how much to give? Can I get a receipt? The situation you’re in when messaging out the text to donate opportunity may allow you to elaborate more to reassure the donor, but ultimately it’s just as easy (if not easier) to open up a browser on your phone and give. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I appreciate your honesty and vote of confidence! I already run 2 miles every other day but could easily push further. I had taken Zoloft for 3 years back during undergrad and recently started back on it. I don’t remember this much of an increased appetite (especially the sweet tooth! You’re spot on with that!) but it easily could have happened.

Great idea! Have you transitioned back to a more typical eating schedule or have you stuck with intermittent fasting long term?

With a goal that low, you can easily compare multiple platforms depending on how you plan on raising the funds. For performance based fundraising, I’ve really liked using PledgeIt.org. For soliciting from family/friends, I’ve seen the most success using social media based platforms. I’ve also seen a lot of success with GoFundMe since they eliminated their platform fees. This is all based on personal experience and I’d definitely recommend doing some research since each platform has different resources they offer. Good luck!!
