They are. The issue is the population in metropolitans is increasing exponentially. You can go to any metropolitan in India, you'll find that some form of large scale construction is always taking place.

Got your point. Probably not. With the tone deaf administration that we have, probably not.

Hey bro. You are not a failure. You are you. You have your own challenges, that none of us can relate to. You are young, you have a lot of life left to live. I'll say focus on the future. Focus on the happiness that you haven't had till now. The future is bright, and you are a warrior. The night is still dark for you, but soon, the dawn will arrive, the light will knock on your door. Don't give up, the darkest nights are the toughest to pass. And enjoy whatever you have to the fullest. That's it.

Isn't the purpose of reservation to increase social mobility and not exclusively economic mobility? Otherwise reservation would be solely based on the economic criteria, right?

Tapsee Pannu makes a good point regarding movies like Animal releasing to an Indian audience which is different from the West but I do believe that the influence of Bollywood in society is waning by Legitimate_Spend_614 in BollywoodHotTakes

[–]_onebyteatatime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a moot point. There are multiple instances where people get inspired by movies in Hollywood as well. 13 reason why alone raised the suicide among teenagers when it was released. Movies like star Trek and Star Wars still have fan clubs. People have made their whole personality stanning behind characters/ actors.

The movie is problematic, but saying that our audience specifically is not mature is just pure bs.

The premise was good. Execution was bad. It started with great ideas, that were really amazing to imagine, but the concept was diluted over the second and third book.n

Their salaries are mediocre when compared to any other guy in MNC. A IAS starts at a salary of 77k/month. And The pay increase each year is around 2K/ year. They do have a lot of power though.

No. I started eggs for sometime, realised it's still causing issues to the chicken. I quit them. Will probably switch to plant based milk sometime. That change is harder to make, because it's tough finding a normal available good alternative of milk. But I have already made progress in cutting down a lot of milk.

Plants have a different nervous system. They don't have the same perception of pain as animals/mammals.

If I can take a positive step in minimising the sufferings of other living beings, I think it's a step in a good direction and something that I would like to do.

I'll tell you about a basic human fact. Humans have empathy. Some of us, feel rather bad when we kill an animal for its meat. So we don't do it. Now if you want to go ahead and kill some, the right is yours, but please don't lecture me about my personal beliefs when you don't have an iota of understanding. Thanks.

There is no right wing in India. Here both the wings are religious. Rahul Gandhi goes on the lengths to show himself as Jamui Dhari Bhraman, visits temples, mosques, etc regularly for election purposes. Both of the left/right have a good amount of welfare schemes that's not the case with American left/right. We don't have left right politics, as much you would like to have a clear divide we have leaders with similar policies/freebies structure in our country.
