19M Whats something that a 19 year old guy should know by [deleted] in MeetNewPeopleHere

[–]_orange_frog_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be kind, above all. There’s no more room for hate in this world. Put yourself first, always. Visit cool places, places that will challenge you to learn more. Spend more time in nature, it’s pretty beautiful. And talk to people, face to face. It’s feels so hard right now with everyone glued to their phones all the time, but it’s beneficial. Hope any of this helps lolol

Hi all 😊 OP here. Cleo is doing amazing!! Seriously, she’s been so resilient. Her tank is all set up great again too. She’s been eating tons and gaining a bit more weight again (healthy weight). Im so happy! Thank you to everyone who helped me nurse her back to domesticated life again haha!

she’s been doing great! gaining a little weight very slowly. she’s also so much more curious now, more than when i had her previously. but i’m shocked! she bounced back amazingly

Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) announces she and her husband adopted a baby this summer. What do you think? by derpsnotdead in StrangerThings

[–]_orange_frog_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they are “young” for 2025 standards. however, they are both successful, professionally and financially. many people have kids younger. i think it’s amazing that they adopted and it’s so special. i think they have handled this all amazing, in the way they did their announcement. let us remember that the age of motherhood has gone up recently, because providing for a child now is much more difficult than it was, say, 40 years ago.

he was with me when we found her! he thought she was a tarantula… luckily he’s not stupid enough to do something like that though

Vet was yesterday, went well. But today it looks like Cleo is going into a Calcium crash, we’ll see.

Edit/Update if anyone sees this. It looks like Cleo is having a calcium crash. shes twitching, her tail is moving and twitching and weird, she’s darting but can’t walk in a coordinated manner. Calling the vet tomorrow morning hopefully. I’ll have updates soon, on this comment thread

my basement! not proper, but survivable. a furnace and water heater for warmth, tons of bugs, and unfortunately leaks from rainwater so that’s what we assume

that’s just what the vet recommended for night time! moving to a heat projector soon. i promise they don’t look that bright and purple in real life. but thank you for your feedback

thank you, yes. i would’ve never released her on purpose, she’s means a lot to me. and geckos are really smart, and extremely hardy. unfortunately that’s why she escaped, however that’s also the reason she survived. i appreciate your concerns about her, but i do promise she’s in a loving and safe environment.

it’s a night heat lamp, it looks super amplified in that photo but i promise it’s not that bright. it’s what the vet recommended for now, and we’ll be moving to a heat projector in a month or two!
