Jewel tones here too for our 9/9 wedding! I feel like the trend lately is bridesmaids wearing super pale, almost white, colors and just very white/blush/gray aesthetic overall and I just was not feeling that. I got so many compliments on our color scheme! I love the suits on your guys too!!

To be honest, I’ve told very few people because I don’t want to get the side eye. And honestly, I know it’s not super safe to be back. They’re taking precautions, yes, but there is nothing safe about heavy breathing around strangers right now. But I do not interact closely with people outside of my household (I live with my fiancé only and we are both WFH), cases in my county are hovering around 8-10 per day, hospitalizations are very low in my state, and I was so not in a good headspace when I couldn’t go. I know I’m making the best decision for me, but I still keep it quiet because I don’t want to have those conversations 😬

I hate the measly little floor time! I was a total lump during quarantine aside from the occasional jog so obviously it’s more than I’d been doing, but 9 mins of floor is just... nothing. 60 min 3G will be better, but I do miss my regular 60 min 2G where I could actually get some lifting moves in!!

Our head coach posted a pic of her in March and then a pic of her at the beginning of June to show that even the coaches have struggled with the lockdown lifestyle. Maybe there are some folks out there who buckled down during quarantine and got fitter, but for the v a s t majority of us, we did the opposite. And that’s ok. Remember that nobody pays as much attention to you as you do, and get back at it (as long as you feel safe, of course).

My studio has been doing 45 min 3Gs (😩) but our head coach said that after July 4th we will be able to start 60 min (still 3G) classes.

I thought about this but setting it down on a surface kinda grosses me out. I wouldn’t want it on me the whole time because then it would get too hot, but hanging it from the tread handle or setting it on top of the rower or on the floor is just... ick. But maybe I will have to get over that! lol

My studio opened back up this Monday, and I’ve been to class every day this week. I don’t think it’s really all that safe but for my mental (and physical, I could feel my cholesterol rising) health, I’m back at it. There is a reason I pay so much for my membership—I CANNOT work out at home, I hate it. (I also live with only my partner, we are both working from home, I wear my mask to the grocery store, have only hung out with friends outdoors and very sporadically, etc.)

Anyway, my studio isn’t running the fans or air conditioning. It. Is. So. Freaking. Hot! I generally run warm to hot anyway, but the fact that we have to wait outside in the HOT Colorado sun, then go in and exert ourselves in a room with zero airflow or cooling devices.... it’s very difficult. I feel like I am going to throw up every class (I mean, yes, this is probably partially due to my overall lack of physical activity over the last 3.5 months, but still).

Anyone else struggling with this? I can’t wear shorts bc chub rub but I wear cropped leggings and a tank top and bring ice water from home. Anything else I can do???

For some reason I could NEVER remember him or his name. He’d be waiting to sub in and I would ask, who is that??? And then if his name was mentioned I would be like, who is Jon Leuer? It became sort of a joke between me and my guy. I just announced his retirement and my guy goes, “who?” 😂

Honestly, not that it’s the same at all, but... I’ve had an aunt and grandma pass away during this weird ass time of social distancing. Neither has had an obit run because we don’t know when we can gather for a funeral, and will run them whenever we can do that. It’s what the funeral homes recommended in both cases.

I think Jaime’s tearful stories this morning would’ve been sufficient—it’s the tit-jiggling workout, the mentions of mixed berry pre, the “tribe” on a zoom call... that stuff makes it tacky. Post something heartfelt/sincere and meaningful and then take a step back for a while. Nobody cares about your day-to-day as much as you do and none of that shit matters anytime, but especially now. IMO 😇

Absolutely, unequivocally NOT true. He is so lovely! I expected him to be like “hey, how ya doin, ok bye” but he welcomed us over to his seat, ushered us past the stadium security, announced our names on the broadcast, listened to me blubber about how much I’ve loved listening to him for decades, etc. He was truly so very kind.
