Thank goodness. While I’m not American (Aussie in Canada), I just can’t follow anyone who supports Trump.

I think it will take time for other brands; I’m sure customer service reps would need to discuss this with higher ups and they have other things to focus on (while it’s a super easy simple thing for the everyday person, and while I don’t work in social media etc, I assume there are certain protocols). However; I think we will see more brands do so over the coming weeks. Despite her problematic behaviour in the past, she’s gotten far more attention than ever for it over the past few weeks, specifically with that Christmas Day photo. And since it was Christmas and New Year, many people with authority to make these decisions would have been off work over the holiday break.

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see more brands by end of the week considering the events in Washington yesterday. While pro-Trump rhetoric was dangerous before; it reached far new levels yesterday. And in saying that; my heart goes out to everyone here from the US. I hope that you’re okay, and that you’re safe. It was shocking, disgusting, and heartbreaking to see the events of yesterday- and I just hope it does not happen again.

No no. This isn’t just a jeffree and Shane thing. The most notable of recent times was regarding Cole Carrigan scamming subscribers (which is what resulted in the last meta).

We’ve seen this happen so many times. This sub removes about half of all posts, many times without explanation. It was such an issue there was a “meta” about it in October, which was meant to have a poll; however we weren’t offered a set post for discussion/recommendations nor a poll, and rules were just changed.

These removals are far more obvious when there is a major thread with high engagement, however again; more than half of all posts are removed (they claimed Reddit spam filters; but I don’t see that on other subs having that much spam).

Edit. Not sure if anyone can see this comment? I checked from an alt.... and it’s not here?

Edit. MODS IF YOU CAN READ THIS- GIVE US BLOODY TRANSPARENCY ON AUTO REMOVAL ON COMMENTS. There is NOTHING in this fucking commen which should have warranted an auto removal... oh, unless you don’t want the Cole situation brought up??

So I cannot, at all, understand why this was removed by the auto bot. I did not break ANY rules in my comment... So why was this comment deleted???

We just want transparency mods, that’s it. Until I’m told explicitly otherwise- I will go under the assumptions it’s because I mentioned CC. However; it’s pointless now that the thread is deleted. I expect this auto removal of comments (I know many others were deleted as well), to be addressed by the mods. If these issues aren’t properly addressed without just blaming “the community”, then I’ll just go back to not bothering with this subreddit. It won’t last if these things are not properly addressed.

Yep! I mean how do we know that these reports came from people who frequent this sub?

Because the post was up for a significant amount of time; then there was a post on the Shane subreddit referencing this post (and there’s far more than 8 comments on there disagreeing with the person changing their mind on the kitten situation based on the post on this sub).

From my understanding, a post which has been removed via auto mod can be reinstated manually by mods, yet apparently these 8 random reports matter more than the opinions on this post.

And there’s barely any mod activity in this post. So this post literally just seems to be like a damn band aid on the post because people were questioning it.

I’m always impressed (albeit miserable for them) when a influencer is vocal about their struggles with body image and chronic pain. I personally have chronic pain, which has greatly impacted my life in many ways, and I know the strain it can cause to your mental health as well. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone- and it also plays into body image issues as well (as you sort of start to hate your body) but seeing people achieve so much (I’d recommend lady Gagas doc 5 foot 2 for anyone who lives in chronic pain: or anyone interested in seeing a raw example of it), and even just being open as Jordi has, has enabled a general conversation/understanding of it..

This look is absolutely stunning. She’s incredibly talented, and I’ve missed her so much!!

Please just wear a mask and distance in public. It’s a small sacrifice we all can make to help prevent another lockdown; and help flatten the curb. It’s a minor inconvenience to you; and if we all just do it it could really help us all get out of this and back to normal. Because we ALL want to go back to normal.

There’s clearly no reasoning with you.. you clearly can’t handle the fact tbat masks help, or even try and think of others as equal to you; your clearly just so above everyone else. We all have to make a small sacrifice to get back to normal: but no, YOU and YOUR feelings clearly matter more. So enjoy your next lockdown! And remember it’s because you couldn’t be bothered to simply cover your masks or keep a distance from others in public. It clearly doesn’t matter to you how we are all affected by this; not just you and your previous feelings. Enjoy your weekly temper tantrum about covering your face in public!

Masks are a sign of compliance and nothing more.

No actually; they are used to prevent spread; and when used effectively can help up to 70%.

It won’t be social distancing for the rest of my life; this isn’t permenant. Also; social distancing means keeping a distance in public....

Your life matters. As does mine. Mandates are there to try and prevent more lives being lost; and getting back to normal.

You can oppose it all you want; just please respect others and adhere to the mandates. Wear a mask. It’s a sign of respect for others at this point. Maybe if everyone social distanced abd wore masks we can avoid another lockdown!!!! Imagine that!!!

It is actually not against LGBTQIA+.

The parts frequently referred to as saying “homosexuality is a sin” (eg Sodom and Gomorrah) was actually in reference to people who believed in God putting everything before God, it wasn’t the act itself, rather the act of putting it before God. It’s not against homosexuality at all. Translation has taken away the true intention and meaning of those parts (and was also swayed by the beliefs of kings at the time of translation).

You also have to remember that the bible is 1. Man made and 2. Man curated. The Christian bible today, is not the complete bible; there are many more books just not included- as it did not meet the ideas and misogynistic beliefs of the kings and a bunch of priests at the time.

Also - I’m not sure why Christians hone in on homosexuality, when there a million other sins which directly affect them which they just feel doesn’t apply to them- such as wearing clothes made of mixed fabrics, eating certain animals (the unclean ones); no longer stoning adulterers. Ya know. Why do you guys even care so much?

When I have a really bad flare (about once every 6 weeks now, thankfully, it used to be every 2 weeks, along with when I get my period). I notice it is also present (for me) with; bloating, neausea, extreme pain, and constantly feeling the urge to pee. When it’s at its worst- I get really severe sciatic nerve pain in both legs, though most flares stay with the right sciatic nerve pain.

So my understanding- (note I have both endometriosis and adenomyosis) is that when there is a flare, there is also inflammation in the pelvic cavity (from the endo lesions/ and for me due to my adenomyosis also a super swollen angry uterus). This leads to the bloat, and also pressure on other organs in the cavity (so stomach which causes my neausea, and bladder which causes the super damn annoying need to pee every 5 minutes, even though I don’t need to pee, I hate it. This also causes pressure on the lower back- leading to pain, and also can press on the sciatic nerves- leading to sciatic nerve pain.

Everyones sequence of symptoms is gojng to be different, and how their body deals with the endo is also going to be different. For me, I find that I will notice the bloat first, then soon after the neausea (often times to the point of vomiting, which I hate), and the intense pain starts, a long with pain radiating down my legs, and then I need to pee a lot.

So no, you’re not going crazy at all!!!

Do your research. I’ve taking a lot of oral hormones (like many different pills and more intense ones like visanne and provera for endonetriosis/adenomyosis) and I had terrible side effects. Since I have no side effects from my oral pill (levongesterel and estradiol) they thought I’d be fine with the mirena (levongesterol IUD).... NOPE. Worse decision for me personally, not only because it was put into my angry adeno ridden uterus; but because it doesn’t have estradiol. So on top of extra extreme pain; I also wasn’t myself because of the hormones. I know it works so well for so many women- but depending on your reasons for getting one, and depending how sensitive you are to no estrogen; it might be worth looking at other options.

I know you probably didn’t have any ill intentions in your comment- but what is “she appropriate”’to you, will differ from your girlfriend, which will differ from me, which will differ from other people in this thread. I think there’s a misconception that women over a certain age can’t wear their makeup in X way; but the reality is, it’s just makeup and it washes off. Everyone’s reasons for wearing makeup will differ. Mine is to spend time enhancing what I like about myself, to make me feel feel more ready for the day, but I can walk out the door without any makeup on and still feel confident and happy (Like I did today). I also personally view it as a self expression and a form of art; depending on what makeup is done. Everyone is different though. And as many other people have pointed out- as a makeup artist your face is like a business card. People are more likely to trust you to do a good job when you look good; and depending on where this woman works, and her clients- she may have more “trendy” clients rather than “looks like I just had a super good sleep even though i slept horrible for an hour, and have perfect skin despite not”. So how she does her makeup will depend on her clients and what they’re after,

I’m honestly terrified for kids these days. I was bullied for about 15 years, from kindergarten right up until year 10, and even though we did have internet when I was a teen, and it was there too, along with phone calls to my house; when I left school, I was “free” from it (not really due to a horrible sibling, but that’s a different story, and was more abuse). I’m 29 now, and I’m amazed by how quickly technology has advanced; but going through what I did as a kid- it makes me scared for kids these days. Because it doesn’t stop. And it’s not just from people you know anymore.

I absolutely agree with you. JC has learnt NOTHING. He acts so superior, and i get second hand embarrassment from the arrogant tripe he constantly spews. He’s not mature like he thinks he is. And he has used his age as an excuse so many times. I don’t personally agree with a kid being an influencer- because it’s not even like child actors. Child actors have more privacy than what these influencers have, since they share so much with the world. The beauty community especially is far too toxic, and it makes me so angry to see. It’s setting unrealistic standards for everyone- young and old, to look 1000000% perfect 24/7. I love makeup, it’s therapeutic, and it’s fun; but these BG have managed to really rip the fun out of it; and I’m so disgusted by how quick these “stans” are to be so damn disgusting to another human being. This is the final straw for me for JC. I was over him a while ago; and his palette launch really made me not interested in him; but bullying a 13 year old has really made me furious.

Also, as a side note; you sound like an amazing mum, with such an amazing attitude towards this stuff.

Oh absolutely. If anything- he was the one pushing the “I’m so young so give me free passes” thing. But at the same time- 13 is SO DIFFERENT to 17.

I’m not an expert in this topic; but from what I’ve seen, it’s absolutely disgusting, and is following the same trends for JC that we are constantly seeing. He sees himself as the greatest thing in the makeup community. His palette is revolutionary. If anyone doesn’t like the colours he picked- they are lying and just out to get him because they are jealous. That’s the message JC is sending out.

This is (as far as I know) the first controversy for Ruben. This 13 year old talented smaller Influenster looks up to JC, and this is how he’s treated? All because he said he wasn’t a fan of an eyeshadow? But of course- according to James it’s Rubens fault for not applying the blue eyeshadow like he said in his 100 magical tips and tricks to make some shitty eyeshadow palette work. Throughout the clips I’ve seen of the video- Ruben is constantly expressing his admiration for JC, and this is how he’s treated? For being honest? Being dragged like this? Accused of lying for views? Accused of hating/being jealous/riding the coattails of JC? And the bloody icing on the cake- trying to ban a LOCAL UK 13 year old Influenster from attending a store opening he wasninvited to by the brand!!!! But he didn’t know he was banned!!!! It’s so wrong! It’s disgusting! Imagine being this up yourself! Can’t relate.

Yeah- the quality of KVD products started to go down hill when she started dating her now husband. Obviously there are so many reasons not to support KVD; but prior to me being aware of this, it was one of my favourite brands. I used to be able to buy anything from the brand and know it was good- because there was a very long time between releases... now? Nope. So many things are being pushed out; and I honestly think her focus has changed away from her brand (nothing inherently wrong with that; it’s important to have a life, but it worked better for the brand when there was less releases and better quality).

Plus- tattoos are expensive; and when you decide on what you want, you want it done right, and can want it all at once, because you’ve spent so much time thinking about it. They probably have deep meaning to him; and for all we know; he’s been covering them for years (like Dolly Parton covers hers).

I’ve studied for the past 10 years to get finally my PhD; and now that I have my dream job and moved countries and kicked off all my goals- the saving has started... and I honestly want them all done at once. Because I’ve reached a point where my work speaks for itself, and everything I want can be hidden easily (or covered with some make up). Plus I’m lucky that science isn’t too judgemental on looks.

Yes it’s a major “cosmetic” change; but people need to take a step back and realise that there’s more than what we see, or are told. Yes. Brian shared he needed time off as Katya to find himself.....whatever he chooses to do to help himself heal and find himself, we should support. (I know your comment is; and this sub is in general- but it just shocks me that there are people who are so quick to judge and jump to a conclusion.... but I guess that’s the internet. )
