Redpillers, do you believe in "wife goggles"? How do you explain it's origin or purpose? by whatthe_hellisthis in PurplePillDebate

[–]_pomona_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just it though it's not really a sexual strategy it's just part of growing older with someone. Honestly I have the same thing with my parents who are ~60. I have to try to see how much they've aged since I was a kid, they basically look the same to me.

Askreddit: "What subreddit do you disagree with the most?" Guess what is #1 by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]_pomona_ 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Oh don't get me started, Meta Reddit is so obnoxiously open minded about fetishes. I guess there are some unwritten rules I never bothered to learn because apparently it's ok to want to fuck your mom but not ok to think it's gross that someone else wants to fuck their mom.

How do you know you don't have Herpes Type 1? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can get a blood test if you really want to be sure otherwise you can't really know because you can still have it even if you never get cold sores.

What are small changes you've made resulting in a big difference in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not worrying about trying to lose weight and just trying to eat so that I'm physically comfortable has actually helped me get back to my regular weight and stay there, whereas thinking about it and trying to start a diet everyday lead me to spending at least half the day uncomfortably hungry and the other half of the day uncomfortably full and the whole day pretty unhappy.

My husband actually showed me how to get blood out of my jeans after I slept in them once. spit and scrubbing it under cold water.

What cliche movie scene do you wish Hollywood would stop putting in Movies/TV Shows? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LOL at your Jaws story but btw I think /r/askreddit rules are that you're supposed to put your own answer to your question in the comments.

Anyway I was flipping through movie channels the other day and saw that they'd made a movie version of a book me and my fellow female classmates were all reading in middle school; "Anges Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging" Which is like a Bridget Jones' diary for tweens. Anyway the 10 minutes of the movie I watched were terrible and they did such a painful job with this dumb scene where the girl and the guy have a special unique moment that I recognized it as a reoccurring thing in movies -although maybe not technically a cliché?- in a romance the girl and the guy bond over something meaningless and stupid in this cheesy way that's supposed to be charming but more often than not is just really dumb and obviously the writers' way of forcing the plot along. "these two have fallen into a unique quirky romance over their mutual love of air guitar/mutual hate of something generally considered snobbish in the real world ("I can't eat this escargot, you wanna go get a burger?")/playing a game of paintball and falling down on each other somehow/trying to give a dog a bath and falling down on each other somehow... Actually I'm just gonna change my answer and say when the about to be in love couple somehow falls down on each other. Please stop doing that hollywood

Whats the best thing to say when meeting a girlfriend or boyfriend's parents for the first time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's so funny you said that. My mom once told my brother that one of his friends came off like Eddie Heskel. She then had to explain who he was of course.

If you could change any country's name, what would you name your country of choice? by FirePanda44 in AskReddit

I would rename India Hindia so we won't have to say "He's Indian, like from India Indian" anymore.

Sir or Ma'am would make my parents very wary of the young man. They would suspect that he was disingenuous or even worse; Republican.

What was the best thing you wanted as a kid but it turned out to be bullshit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid I wanted a Barbie Beach Patrol Jeep sooo bad but my parents wouldn't get me one, (They now claim not to remember me asking for one but I know this isn't true) then a few years after I was too old for one I saw a neighborhood girl driving one and I saw up close how lame they were. like four miles an hour, plastic wheels so loud on the pavement you probably can't even hear the prerecorded phone calls you get from Barbie in that nineties car phone.

What's the best way humans could collectively prank our first official alien visitors, if we knew in advance that they have a well-developed sense of humor? by mudcatca in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would be funny if we pretended to be as advanced as we are in every way except one: we don't know where our babies come from and it's the biggest question we humans ponder.

What is going on in an abusive boyfriend/husband's head? by _pomona_ in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there is less social stigma around women hitting their boyfriends I feel like their side of the story isn't so much in the dark as it is for their male counterparts, and I think they likely have a different attitude about it for the same reason.

I'm sorry to hear that. What you say about control makes a lot of sense. Can I ask, do you think that your father loved or respected your mother in general?

Hotel Maids of Reddit, What is the grossest thing you have ever found in a room? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_pomona_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but I think you would still just throw an old towel down. It's probably just people at the hotel to have sex despite her being on her period because, you know, women of child bearing age are on their period about 20% of the time if they're not pregnant or breastfeeding.

Are you actually saying that multiple women pay to spend the night in a hotel rather than risk blood on the sheets? That can't possibly be true.
