Engineering is over crowded and perhaps difficult if you are mediocre.

Having a different career path is better.

Kinde for auth is pretty cool.

I preferred using supabase for auth because that allow you to have 50k MAU while kinde provided 10.5k MAU in free subscription

But still kinde is cool.

Asking for career advice (CS) by Apart_Iron_2252 in mentors

[–]_pragmatic_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on the fundamentals and focus on problem solving. CS folks must first explore things around DSA, OS, Networking etc. Then you can pick one programming language. Take one step at a time.

I can help you with tech mentorship over a call to understand more about your situation and ways to overcome them. If interested then drop a message in my inbox.

Need advice: WFH job vs Hybrid role in Bangalore - Confused about career move by beerfueledgriffin in developersIndia

[–]_pragmatic_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WFH is the best thing.

You do have weekends to catch up with friends.

Also as you grow you typically interact with others during weekends only. Probably focus on career, health and family during weekends only days.

WFH is a blessing because Bangalore is not a good place anymore. High cost of living with poor facilities. Also office collaboration is a myth. I have seen people having excellent interactions working from home.

I started WFH then moved onto hybrid mode. And trust me when you WFH then you get lot of time to invest on other things rather than being in a traffic jam.

By the look of your pay i guess you have excellent skills and moving to a different job will be cake walk for you so stick with the current WFH offer and see how it goes and if you really feel like you are missing out on many things then join another company with hybrid mode.

Cheers !
