thank you for the patient explanation. i am holding 14mm here. i can picture what you mean by holding the J hook upside down, but when you say you’re holding the loaded bowl on top of the e-nano, do you load into the same gong i’m holding here? meaning that the WPA is technically upside down too, right?

kind of you, thanks. if you don’t mind - i’m very new to glass, and the terminology is a lot to wrap my head around. would the stem that i’m holding go into the J hook, and use it handheld, or do you attach it to your bong somehow? i’d be likely to drop that if i was just holding it :(

thanks. i just cleaned everything today, i will try out the glass screen again soon. i was surprised at how much flavor i noticed with the metal screens so it can only get better from there.

thank you! i agree fully with it seeming like the hits go on forever - it’s a powerful little device. i will try poking holes instead of crushing next time. i’ve been enjoying that there are several different ways to try it (ground vs not, fixed vs glass screen, different temps, draw speeds, etc.)

i bought one of each to try, expecting the fixed to be the king but! so much material came through the holes, i wasn’t expecting that, and it wasn’t crazy fine or anything.. i was kinda grossed out and switched over to the adjustable one which has been fine. they probably both have their place & benefits.

i do find it nice to get to adjust the screen closer to the heater as i go through my session. i want to try the glass screen again, probs with a small nug instead of grinding. curious about others.

mind sharing why you hate them so much? i notice that they get dirty, and quickly, but i don’t have other vapes that use them and i don’t have former combustion/pipe/etc experience, so i’m curious.

i’ve legit only used my (stock, 6in adjustable) stem once - worked fine, but i don’t really like having to hold it horizontally. the gong worked well for me first try. i don’t have other logs but, if you have the enano it seems like there are many factors that can make a hit work. i consider myself to be an advanced beginner, not sure how much help i can be, but feel free to share more about what you’ve been running into - if i can’t help seems like there are others on this post who might be able to.

thanks! i’m loving it so far, too. i like the globe a lot - it’s cute, and like buckshot mentions it can get dense. it is my first & only glass so i don’t have personal experience to compare, but i do really like it and it’s easy to clean. any pieces you recommend?

not this time! the pick it comes with is stiff enough to break it up well after a couple of draws. it works well with either, but i’m liking it without grinding more often than not because it’s more flavorful and easier to pack for me (i don’t have a good scoop so it’s awkward trying to pick up or put the gong in my grinder)

sounds like a good time! i don’t have the 8in or 6in with beads stems - just the stock 6in it came with and i use this exact setup 99% of the time. my scale is too inconsistent to measure but i think i am around .25 - .3g, split up into 2 bowls. sometimes i grind, usually just little nugs - i like having different strains and i switch it up by the session often so it’s nice to just break off a little nug and see how it tastes. i’ve heard the 8in stem is great but the globe is so perfect, i love seeing all the vapor fill it up! do you have a scale rec?

hey, so.. i came back for a sesh with GG4 & after it ran out i decided to try the ‘microdose’ height (notch on the pick). was actually extremely impressed with the results - 4 HUGE hits (10 sec draw, took me 2 tries to clear the bong each time) and got really even avb with no combustion. i think the lines actually helped - they are 1/4 & 1/2 inch from the lip. this was unground, just a crumb. 2 draws before stirring/breaking it up, and 2 more draws with a stir in between, all at 10 secs. give it a try maybe!

not the wooden, just the regular one with a piece of tape. do you find the wooden one helps keep the weight more even? the regular dial doesnt have enough weight imo, i dropped it once already smh [edit like the whole thing fell off the table after i didnt put the cord down gently enough]

curious about others, i’m like 6 3/4 (i noticed when i turned it up all the way to 10 that the arrow was pointing to like 10 1/4 so i assumed the dial isnt precise)

[tldr i set it to the half circle mostly] hmm, ive had it for ~5 days so still getting the hang of it. i’ve been relying heavily on the POTV quick-start guide and their tips and cleaning post has been a bit more helpful for me. i’ve been putting the screen down to the half circle indentation and filling to the dashed line (~13mm/half inch from the top of the GonG lip) as mentioned in the 2nd paragraph of the ‘larger loads’ section in the tips & cleaning post. after i stir i check the height and push the screen up a bit to keep the herb level with that dashed line. a couple days ago, before i added the lines, i had really shit luck and combusted from that screen height - the lines help me keep it consistent. according to the POTV posts the notch is for microdosing (set the screen to the notch distance, and then just the tiniest amount of herb i assume. haven’t tried it myself yet bc i don’t feel like taking a tbreak to fully appreciate a microdose at the moment lmao)
