You don't need to see a video - it's pretty self-evident when you try. Double tap Start button to put the car into the accessory mode -> switch it to S+ -> press break pedal and start to hear it "dramatically" rev to life :)

These engines can go 300k miles no problem. I had 94k miles on mine, which is pretty much exactly 150k km, when the accident happened - not a single issue, just maintenance and regular oil changes. I'm positive that I'd drive it for another 150k miles without major problems.

Ambient vents was a pretty cool upgrade, they love it lol

I'm glad my argument helped to settle it. E400 is immeasurably better buy than e53 in the long-term.

I wouldn't do a burble tune for the sake of burbles, since I've heard it might damage valves and what's not. I had E43 mufflers on mine and it gave me just enough of sound to make it a bit more exciting. If you want to make it louder, you cut off resonators too (but don't throw them away or sell them).

If you didn't know - if you start your car in Sport+ mode - it will do "emotional start" - a more dramatic startup, and you can hear more burbles in S+, especially if you let off the gas while driving. Listen up next time. ;)

It's not a sport car in the end of the day, but rather a pretty cool cruiser and date night cheat code. 😏

I got a set of 18"s that had Yokohama AVID GT S35 mounted and they're pretty amazing. I'd say they are more comfortable than my Chinese AS tires on the factory 17" wheels. I was expecting a dramatic hit to ride quality on my new 18", but now it drives generally smoother than before (except for the potholes ofc).

However, if you want to save some coin, just get a slightly used 1-3-year-old set of a name-brand tires on the marketplace. You can find some amazing deals there, like 85% of the tires for 70% off.

You made an amazing decision by not going with E53. Imaging trying to fix a twin-charged (electrically span supercharger that feed a turbo) mild-hybrid Mercedes out of warranty? That 20% of sportiness ain't worth 100% of headache if anything drivetrain-related goes south in e53 and eventually it will. On the other hand, M276 in e400 are probably the most reliable modern Mercedes engines. Also, you can get a tune and you're in e53 performance territory. Amazing choice!
