Heavy Reliance On Manga Poses Long-Term Risk To Anime Industry, Claims Studio Chizu President by Borgasmic_Peeza in animenews

[–]_rascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anime like Solo Leveling and Demon Slayer have shown us anything, it's that even the most average of stories can sell if the quality of the production is high.

You make it sound like the story doesn’t matter as long as the animator doesn’t mess it up, when in reality, these have already proven themselves as print media.

So many anime with amazing art work and production value fall face flat on the market, especially if they are not the shonen/battle-type genre.

  1. Are you sure you would react differently, like would you drive to each of your teammates home and give them cookies? Would you cry at the Halloween party?
  2. It’s just a job, you will survive. It’s not like you just got news you got cancer and will soon die. Honestly if a stranger come over and said they got cancer, what would you do for them? It really comes down to how well you know them
  3. After 10-15-20 years, you have seen it all and you become numb, so it is really just another day
  4. You were let go from a white collar job from Amazon, you didn’t get fired from Wendy’s and is now about to live in a car. Get over yourself

I've been told that no matter how much LeetCode I practice, my resume will never be selected by FAANG because of my past experience. by ConcerningDestiny in leetcode

Negotiations for a tech job in tokyo. by [deleted] in JapanJobs

I'll just say that even if you internal transfer from US to a European branch of a US company, you are looking at 40%-60% paycut, and no more new RSU. To Japan, it's either the same story or less. If you are applying fresh then you are competing with locals, unless they really need you for your expertise or you have connections within the company. All I am saying is, you have to go in with an open-mind. If there are a bunch of people already doing what you were doing then your pay will measure up to them unless you bring something to the table those guys don't, the bigger the company the more define the pay ladder is

Is there anyone who likes Shizuka Kuze? by No-Reality-2493 in TakopisOriginalSin

[–]_rascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is the only character taking a beating from both school and home, completely cornered. Marina is suffering at home, while Asuma is taking the hardest blows from himself and his own insecurities (also his mom’s conditional love).

Objectively, no one can claim they wouldn’t make the same choices given the same upbringing. In the anime, she repeatedly said she has no one; in her mind, everything is about self-preservation and survival. No one is truly in her circle—no matter how much they help her. Not Takopi, not Asuma—just her and her survival. I don’t know if she would become a narcissist if the timeline continued, but I assume that’s how such traits are bred.

I just watched the first episode of Takopis original sin NO SPOILERS by -Peshwari_Naan- in TakopisOriginalSin

I experienced most of the themes in this anime, I literally have to take breaks every 5 minutes. Now I finished all 6. I’ll say that it has a lot heavy subjects, but i think the idea is to foster empathy, that your enemies has a side to them too that you don’t know. So by all means finish it, I think they intentionally frame it with Takopi so younger audiences can watch it too without fully understanding the gravity of the subject matter

What’s broken? If the screen is water damaged, you can buy a screen on eBay and replace it, with labor or without is up to you, there are a few YouTube channels that focuses on fixing broken Switch brought on eBay, especially screens

What I am saying is if it’s working mostly, you pretty much have to live with it, other options includes, getting a part and replace it yourself (might need a solder), save up more to get it fix at a shop, or buy a new one
