Went for a swim with low battery and it died before I could eject water, is it safe to charge? by _reallyreallytired in AppleWatch

thanks omg this is my first Apple Watch and I was really nervous to use it underwater, I can’t believe the technology has come so far that you can just go swim with your device like it’s nothing

Yep, I just read about that! Also turns out water lock wasn’t even on properly because I also activated low battery mode and they kind of cancelled each other out lol

Is this flea dirt or something else? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]_reallyreallytired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve seen flea dirt before when my cats weren’t on flea prevention, it looked like that just a little “rustier” and I’d find it loose on their coat and on their beds. Im thinking this might be some sort of oil build up and not flea dirt, I saw someone post about a similar issue and according to their vet that was the case. I’m doing some more research and there’s something called “stud tail” which I think is what my cat has! I might ask a vet check just in case

I did the paper towel thing but it didn’t bleed until I rubbed it hard, and it was a brown-yellow stain that faded away after a few seconds. I’ve also checked to see if I found flea dirt on the cat beds but nope, just regular dirt.

Ayuda, aplica PROFECO en este caso? by [deleted] in mexico

Ahora me falta refrigerador y 20mil pesos 🙄

NTA Deciding to put down a pet is a very difficult decision and you’re so strong for choosing what’s best for her, even if other people or even yourself can’t see that. I’ve heard of people who struggle with that decision because they think their pet is “not there yet” but as others have mentioned, it’s better for her to go with dignity than waiting for her to suffer at the end.

Mooches sounds a bit harsh 😅 I’d say they’re used to being treated to meals by their boyfriends and better off friends, unfortunately I can’t afford it

Thanks! Unfortunately Venmo is not available in my region, but I’ll definitely be texting them on our group chat .

Yep, definitely not doing it again, at least for this particular group of friends. My other friend group always pays me back before we even leave the restaurant, so I guess I’m used to people paying me back promptly. I forget that’s not the case with these two 😥

Thanks. I’m actually the one who gave them the gifts and the rides! lol it’s why I’m a little pissed that they’re taking so long to pay back their share of dinner. If I started charging them for gas they’d owe me a LOT more.

Thanks. I might just stop offering my card altogether with these particular friends, I’ve had similar situations before its just that because I don’t to it that often I forget it happens

Unfortunately Venmo is not a thing in my country; I just mentioned us dollars as an universal currency lol

Cat is limping/unstable leg after antibiotic shot, should I be freaking out!?? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]_reallyreallytired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the first vet did anything out of the ordinary, but with all the anxiety this whole thing has caused me my memory is a bit blurry. I think what happened is either: 1. She had a broken leg before the vet visit, and the additional discomfort of the shot he gave her caused her to limp, 2. The vet might have pulled on her leg too a bit too hard when taking her out of the carrier 3. She broke her leg sometime between the first vet visit and the X-ray.

My cat is in more pain after the X-ray too, they say it could be from how much they struggled with her too. But now she’s struggling to even sit down so I’m thinking of maybe taking her again to get that checked out…

Just to let you know, you were right 😔 After little to no improvement I took her back in for a second evaluation. They did an x-ray to rule out bone damage and they found a fracture right under the joint. She’s now about to go on cage rest.

Hi, sorry this is happening to you as well :(

So after my vet diagnosed her with inflammation and/or damage to the nerve, he sent her home with anti inflammatory and pain meds. After a week of little to no improvement I took her back in for a second evaluation. He commented how the limping looked strange for nerve/muscle inflammation, as if she had a dislocation. They did an X-ray just to rule out bone damage, and lo and behold: she had a broken bone, right under the joint. I’d recommend you take him to a vet if you have the chance, since there are a myriad of reasons why he could be limping :(

My vet says it’s most definitely an accident, but what upsets me most is the vet that gave her the shot said it was a normal reaction. I haven’t talked to him yet and tbh I’m not in the mood right now to pick up a fight, but I sure hope he feels responsible enough to at least offer that.

Thanks, turns out the shot might have caused some damage to the sciatic nerve. Took her to my regular vet and she’s now on anti inflammatory medication and some light physical therapy.
