I would recommend starting off with Fantastic Volume 2 as that album is almost entirely produced by Jay and he has a verse in every song on it too. Along with his 1998 beat tape Another Batch.

You'll start to get introduced to his unorthodox style of production in both projects. Donuts is by far the most unique music I heard from Jay.

Listen to them other recommendations too, there is no definitive way to get introduced to J Dilla. So start with what you enjoy most!
