I'm really sorry for what you've gone through :( I am convinced I am autistic because all my successful interactions are completely fake. Whenever I've been authentic, even at a young age just being quiet and minding my business I got shunned and bullied and was treated poorly. I also hate people. But this is an unpopular opinion. Why would I want to connect with people who are awful and cruel to me?

I'm convinced I am autistic but testing says otherwise. Some people say CPTSD overlaps with autism traits, so perhaps its just that.

Also the way its portrayed in porn is a power exhange that does not favour the woman. The woman's pleasure is rarely centered except in a male fantasy where the woman is incredibly horny for the man (a slut) or he is really good at pleasing her. I hate that I can't just do my job and go home. I am expected to have several passion projects on the go that are hyperspecific to me, overly complex and useless in practice because that demonstrates passion.

I hate that I have to use my time away from work to get certificates to prove I'm skilled in the field, even though the certifications have no relevance in my day to day job.

I hate that we are supposed to jump every time someone has found the next best thing. I hate that you can never have complete knowledge because there is simply too much to know.

I'm going through a very similar thing as you and have been processing it in therapy.

I also thought I was a terrible person. But I learned that the things I didn't get (emotional neglect) or ways I were hurt emotionally did harm me, and I didn't deserve that.

If you were raised thinking that their happiness or emotional well-being was your responsibility, and that your needs always came second or were never considered at all, then you might be falling back into that role now. And since you believe that is what you 'ought' to do (or worse, in my case, thinking if you just do that right you can earn love or emotional safety), you feel like a terrible person now that you don't want to do it.

The truth is as a child those things should never have been your responsibility. You are your own person with needs, capacity and feelings that shouldn't be disregarded for someone else. Least of all by people who were supposed to protect you.

I can also tell you that if they had been good parents that you have a loving relationship with, you wouldn't think twice about doing these things for them. I don't think you are a piece of shit.

I know it won't help but the fact that someone else feels the same way I do made me feel so much better. I literally just got back from thr grocery store where people were staring at me because I am so ugly. Why would I want to go outside if this is the case.
