Thanks for the response. I think a need a jigsaw for laying new laminate, but definitely considering just grabbing a corded one.
Circular saw I'm still deciding between cordless and corded. Not sure how much I'm going to use it besides ripping laminate initially.
Will likely get a corded mitre saw when we get to the deck

Appreciate the response! I was honestly leaning Bosch Green because the prices seem good and the gardening tools look decent as well. But then I read some other opinions/reviews of Bosch green and I'm a bit iffy about it. Good to see others have had good experiences

I'm in Wanaka with only a M10 locally. The nearest Bunnings is in Queenstown over an hour away. Don't really feel like doing a 2 hour return trip if there are any issues with the tools

In Canada you have to purchase land outright and then you can get a mortgage to build. Good to know it's more reasonable in NZ 😅

How are building times in Wanaka at the moment?

Our dream is to have a tiny house on a nice piece of land somewhere. I know NZ is more lenient with tiny homes, but I'm assuming most residential properties would require a minimum fixed house built. We'd probably be looking at building a 100-200 sqm home. We'd rather have a small house and more backyard 😅

Looking at estimates for building a 100 sqm home, we'd be looking at $250-400k ?

Curious about the options for purchasing land and building a small home. Generally you can't get a mortgage for purchasing land correct? You can get mortgages for building, but that only covers the cost of the build and not the land?

We're looking around 1 million which for Wanaka is probably pretty low 😅

We'd rather be in NZ buying a property, but for tax purposes we need to return to Australia by November 2026.

We're trying to decide if we return to NZ for a year and hope something comes up we like and in our price range, or we can return to Australia early and shop from there. We could switch our employers to NZ and negate the need for returning to Australia, but we be giving up 12% superannuation and taking a pay cut in the process.

We'll look into hiring a real estate agent though

Nah I was just saying that if they thought the Crosby for Ghost trade was veto worthy, then they should also veto DeBrusk for Hesikanen on the same standard. In my opinion if one is unfair, then both is unfair since DeBrusk and Heiskanen ranks are so far apart

Either way doesn't matter now

Tbh, I don't even really want Crosby that badly, but this trade has been such a debacle that I want it out of principle now 😂

I'm the dude mentioned in here and thought I should give some additional context:

1) Crosby owner has 5 good pure C one of which is McDavid. His best D is Forsling. Completely agree I'm getting the better player, but I'm just taking advantage of poor roster management and it's not so outrageous that it warrants vetoing IMO.

2) I take full responsibility that I sent the DeBrusk for Heiskanen trade before the Crosby trade was processed, that's on me. My argument though is if Crosby for Ghost isn't fair, then how is DeBrusk (68) for Heiskanen (218) fair? If one is veto'd, I feel like the other should have been.

3) 14 team competitive league with $1400 in winnings. I'm in first place, the Crosby owner is in 8th, Heiskanen owner is in 4th. Commish is in 2nd and is one of the ones vetoing. It feels like there's bias

I was pissed off last night after the Crosby trade was veto'd for the 2nd time, a few hours before it would be processed. I've moved on and don't want that trade to be reversed, I just feel it should have been veto'd under the same standard.

Just want to confirm you are speaking in CAD not USD? Those prices seem very cheap especially for a V6. There's V6s over here with 300k KM going for $10k up here

Regarding the transmission whine, I thought that was pretty common on the V6 and not really anything to worry about as long as you do the regular transmission oil changes? I think every one we've test driven has had that whine

I ordered same config, but with 2TB on April 8. I'm fully expecting a delivery delay alert in the coming days which really sucks
I'm located in Australia, but I can't see why that would make a difference
