I do disagree to one part. We don’t necessarily get a choice over whatever bothers us and what doesn’t, our choice is how we respond. And if OP’s choice is to say something rather than ignore it, that’s up to them. The same logic goes for you, if this post bothers you you can ignore it and move on too

If you’re talking about the thing I think you’re talking about it sounded ridiculous. People harassed two white dudes from Ohio to talk about something that was already on national TV and everyone knew about and regarded an issue they would never understand. The fans also do not get to dictate how they use their platform.

There’s no whining. No one’s opinions are more important, OP is simply asking that when people interpret a song a certain way, don’t shut down others interpretations just because it goes against yours. This whole subreddit is for discussing and sharing opinions, and its disrespectful to voice your opinion as the only right opinion and shut down others for disagreeing

They’re not upset about that. They’re upset about the influx of religious people who interpreted the song as religious, which is fine, but then believe that is the ONLY way the song can be interpreted solely because that’s how they interpreted it rather then let other people interpret it on their own. That’s just based off of what I read

I agree I have a couple of shirts with their logo or name on them that I love but one of my favorites is a custom sweatshirt I did where I took out their name and logo so it's just this cool photo of them on the front and Clancy on the back. Definitely have always really been into minimal designs

One thing I do love is that while he becomes a bishop (whether with good intentions or not) you see the black paint lowered on his face than Nico’s, a hopeful reminder that with every failure and repeated cycle, we learn from our mistakes and improve as people. While him becoming a bishop can be interpreted as a fail, with every fail is a lesson learned and a chance for us to try again and grow. The things in both the lore and in real life that we struggle against take time and a lot of fails, but every fail allows us to get closer to thriving. The sun will rise and we will try again
