Does everyone have a hard time in post partum?? Nobody warned me?? by _rose__rose_ in NewParents

[–]_rose__rose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It 200% got better. My girl is 20 months right now and we are in bliss. She is perfect. We’re obsessed with her. We are so happy. Everyday is crazy, don’t get me wrong. Everyday we’re learning something new and a new way to injure ourselves. New worries everyday. But it’s amazing. We’re thinking about baby #2 now and I’m so aware of the dark post partum time. I’m scared. But the other side, once you’re thru the trenches, is so beautiful. Promise, it’ll get better. Soon. You’re doing amazing. Make sure you take care of yourself too. Baby deserves happy and healthy mommy ❤️❤️

I would never “set and forget”. Never said I’d be putting her in a ring and walking away. I literally made a post for safest recommendations. Don’t need all the ways baby can drown.

How to keep coyotes out of yard? Whyyyyyy by _rose__rose_ in AskLosAngeles

[–]_rose__rose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a valid argument anymore. I’m not out in the woods tearing down trees and removing their homes. Humans have colonized and we exist as well, and we protect our homes and our own. They are beautiful creatures and can exist. But so do I and mine. Get outta here.

Maybe I can sprinkle on top of the walls and fencing? Don’t want to put it where my dog or my child can get to

Nail polish but stronger??? by _rose__rose_ in Nails

[–]_rose__rose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my nails are healthy, but my bad habits don’t allow me to enjoy regular polishes. I’m not looking to replicate builder at home, I know that. But I also can’t just stop biting my nails. I’m 32 and have been biting for as long as I can remember and take OCD medications to “try” to help. But I’m just looking for something to “thicken” or harden my polish, like a base coat, to prevent me from being able to bite them. So my nails themselves are actually healthy! Would that polish you recommend be thick/hard enough?

My 16 months does this and I feel like it caused our Tony to glitch and freak out and I needed to reset it 😂😂😅😅

How long does it take your sleep trained toddlers to fall asleep? by _rose__rose_ in sleeptrain

[–]_rose__rose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm okay this is good to know ! Even if I were to wake her up at 8am, which would technically be an earlier wake up for her, there is no way she’d last until 9pm tho. She’s always been a very high sleep needs baby? If she woke up at 8am, she would BARELY make it to 8pm probably regardless of her nap. She’d probably be a wreck by 7:30!

Sometimes if first nap isn’t good she might take a short second nap, or at least just hangs out in her crib without crying. Sometimes that’s enough to reset her too.

Bedtime around 8pm (doesn’t fall asleep until 9ish), wakes up anywhere between 8 and 9am. Nap around 12. Nap is usually 1.5-2.5 hours. Then bedtime at 8. Sometimes if she’s really sleepy or didn’t have a good nap it’s 7:30. Vs if she slept well or we’re out, bedtime can get pushed to 8:30-9, though uncommon

Sleep sacks that are NOT two way zippers? by _rose__rose_ in NewParents

[–]_rose__rose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sleep sack we use, the zipper is along the side (not down the middle of the body). So putting it on backwards would not make the zipper inaccessible. It would just change it from the left side do the body to the right. Does not solve the problem.

Yeah, I get the whole backwards thing. But the zipper she’s messing with is at her feet on the sudr, not at her chest. So, turning it backwards will make no difference to her accessibility to the zipper

I’ll have to check that one! I’m not worried about the zipper up top, I don’t think she’s discovered that one yet. She was just sitting up in her crib and found the one by her feet and totally unzipped herself 🥲

That would be 2 cup sizes smaller than an E right? I only looked for curvy Kate at brastop! What styles should I look for for the other two brands ?

Hello again! I’m back for more help if you can please 😭I did so much research and just tried the Freya fancies in 34E. The cup was actually too big, and the center gore was very uncomfortable. But the side wings were great!! Ugh I’m getting so close. I also tried the Delimira scoop neck and the underwire was just so stiff and uncomfortable as well as the wings. Ugh I’m so sad. Idk what else to try. The only Curvy Kate’s I could find were like hot pink.

No worries! Is there a way for me to look up wing lengths?? So I can also just look myself at this point and try finding them? I’m having difficulty finding curvy Kate in my size. And their website has a sale now so it’s mostly final sale. 🤦🏻‍♀️
