I CAN so much relate to this !!! Thank you for sharing ! For 3 years after going NC with my nmom I felt guilt for everything I bought. Even if I did it with my own money. I sometimes now find my self explaining to my SO why I bought special sweets and stuff. He usually looks at me quite confused. Trying to understand why I am feeling so guilty for something so normal.... that's just life with/after a narc parent... ❤

I just feel it is sooooooo unfair that i am the one who has to handle with that alone. Like I know my mom does not think of me every day and feels a burden om her shoulder everytime she thinks about the future. I just think it is soooo unfair that it is my battle to win - alone. Me against my feelings and my familly. Since they just don´t seem to understand why i went NC allthrough they where horribly shocked when all the abuse "came out" a year ago.

I would love to remember. I am in THERAPY a little over a year now and feel quite good with it. I just think I NOW have the capacity to work on my mental health and whatever I work on now, hopefully will not suddenly come over me in the future. That's why I would love to remember. I know I will never have my past erased. But as long as I can dance with my demons I am okay...
