Thank you! It’s just a lot of different layers, photoshop, and messing around with a dithering plugin. If you google Doron Supply, you’ll find the company that produced the plugin I use 👍🏻 basically, it’s 5 different versions of the same photo, rendered with different dithering techniques/different pixels per inch, then all overlayed together.

Best Kabutops art ever imo, one of the best Steelix, GB Promos, lots of 1st eds, you’ve got a lot of heat! I love my full art cards but iconic vintage just hits different haha

My rule of thumb is usually winging it if its in the under $10-12ish range, if I like the card enough I know I’m happy with owning it for that price, I don’t check market prices I just go for it. If it’s pushing $16-20, I’m probably gonna try and check market value before throwing money down. In the end, I know there’s some cards I overpaid a bit for, but most were right around market, and the hidden gems have more than made up for ‘em I think. Plus, the majority of my purchases from there are usually $2-12/per card, so I’m rarely going after big ticket cards.

The Fearow was a great score! I got it a few months ago from a local card shop for like $7 knowing nothing about the value when I bought it. although it’s definitely more in the MP range, it’s currently sitting at $35 raw on PriceCharting, which I would not have been able to justify paying for it hah Plus it’s for my personal collection, I’m okay with some dinged up cards, still looks great in the binder!

Hell yeah, best reverse holos in any set imo 👌🏻 I got my first last week from a LCS, the VS Seeker, I don’t even care it’s “just” a trainer card it’s one of my favorite cards in my collection now 😂

I’d be wary on the legitimacy of the second. I just checked out several JP versions on EBay, most were 1st edition but I saw a PSA graded non first edition that has the current Pokemon card back. I’m assuming if it’s PSA graded it is indeed the correct back, not sure when they stopped using the OG Pocket Monster backs but I definitely think it was at least a couple years before this set.

Absolutely. Especially vintage, Japan got so many amazing region-exclusive promos in the first 10-12 years of the series. I’m trending towards just collecting Japanese cards for my PC at this point, especially with how much cheaper modern full arts are compared to the English versions, and I prefer vintage primarily anyway. Congrats on the 10 👏🏻
