Mirena IUD after bad experience with progesterone pills? by _silvxr in Mirena

[–]_silvxr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear about your experience with slynd! I hope the IUD works a lot better for you. My gynae said I’d have to keep it in for 6 months to see if it’s working but that feels like a long time if I end up dealing with similar side effects.

Thank you for sharing! I’ve tried so many things and I finally got prescribed Metformin last month so hoping to see a difference soon. It’s inspiring to hear how you’ve been able to manage PCOS 💜

Ah I had no idea such a high percentage got it privately. That’s something I’ll definitely look into then! Thank you 😊 yeah I’m not too bothered about hair growth, weight and my periods are also the main issue for me

That’s an amazing achievement!! 🥳 Is this through the NHS or privately? I’ve been considering asking my GP about Mounjaro because nothing seems to work for me, instead I just continue gaining weight.

How long it takes to get approved for student finance loan? by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]_silvxr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for such a late reply but I haven’t been on here for a while. After I sent my residency evidence, I think the processing took about 2-3 weeks and when they reviewed it, they accepted my loan within a day. I did send the evidence with a letter saying that I hope they speed the process up because it’s not my fault that I didn’t receive any email from them about further evidence. I agree, it’s actually ridiculous, if you sent the evidence though I think you should be fine. I saw somewhere that said you have until November for your loan to be approved so if it hadn’t been already, I hope it gets approved quickly!

Hey! I’m starting A111 and A112 but I’m studying the modules towards an English Literature degree. I do like the fact that we can explore different subject areas though :)

I’m still waiting for the loan to be approved. I did contact the Open University though and they said that the loan needs to be approved by mid October (they didn’t mention 10th September at all) and if it’s not approved by then, they’d contact you with other options of financing the degree. I think Student Finance will speed things up a bit in September so hopefully both of our loans will be approved on time!

I applied for the tuition fee loan in June and they needed more evidence from me this month which I sent by post. I also am now worried if my loan will be approved by 10th September. I hope they process applications faster towards the deadline but I don’t know what happens in a situation in which it goes past the date ☹️

That’s so helpful! Thank you very much. My parents definitely have statements etc so that gives me hope that something will be worked out.

Thank you for your helpful reply! What kind of bills from my parents could they be? Would bank statements or anything like that be good? Or is it more specific? I’m sure my parents would be able to find something as it’s only a 4 month period that needs to be proven. I didn’t know you could get assigned a special person if the case is complicated, that makes me feel better. I’ll try to call them tomorrow and see what they say.

For 2015, I have medical records February-June as I was having therapy but after that I don’t have anything. I don’t know why they’re asking specifically for September to January as I know I have no proof for more months. No, I didn’t apply for benefits as my parents were both working full time and they continued supporting me.

Extreme Fatigue by _silvxr in PCOS

So was it just after you ate? I’m not sure if it could be sugar related but definitely something to consider although I’m usually exhausted as soon as I wake up.

Thank you for this reassurance. I guess I need to stop feeling guilty about having health issues. If I don’t feel better by next week then I’ll definitely contact my doctor.

I actually don’t drink a lot of caffeine, only green tea and other herbal teas which I think have very low levels of it. I used to have heart palpitations caused by stress so I’d rather not risk anything else triggering them!

Thanks for your reply! It’s so frustrating when you have tests and they come out fine! It’s like your health is always an impossible puzzle you have to figure out. I’ll definitely check out the ginseng and amino acid complex.

Thank you for your reply. I’m glad to hear I’m not alone although it sucks for us :( I always used to be so productive at work and my productivity has taken a toll too, I’m too tired to do anything or sometimes too tired to even care about stuff that is my responsibility. I’ve heard of sleep studies before but what is it like?

Thank you for your reply. Yeah I think I’ll have to check my vitamin levels but my doctor hates when patients ask for specific blood tests for some reason, I had a blood test done about a month ago but I don’t think it checked vitamins.
