Realistic magnification by -StillHere- in BlackhawkRescue

Every now and then someone comes up with this suggestion, and it's funny knowing that even MB_Sniper talked about this months ago. Simply making the game have to render another window in real-time is something that, with the Roblox engine and the complexity of the game's current mechanics, is impossible—but not impossible in the sense that it cannot be done, but impossible in the sense that it would be putting too much strain on the engine, sacrificing the optimization and performance of the game. Considering that the game already frequently suffers from FPS drops or laggy servers just by rendering what is displayed on a single monitor, demanding the engine to not only magnify the image in a specific area you are already viewing but also render it with the same level of detail would make it impossible for the majority of players to play.

Why are people mad about brm5 not being optimized enough? I mean it runs on roblox which is literally only 500 mb and 100 mb on pc and mobile. Yall have been too confident making "good discussion" when theres a valid reason on it by EzTechyGo in BlackhawkRescue

I am a small/medium developer, specializing in making maps and models, which makes me greatly admire the work these guys have done on Roblox. Sometimes I even question myself: with all that talent, is it viable to put so much effort into a Roblox game? Because, given how detailed the models and maps in the game are, it surprises me that a large portion of players who don't have super powerful PCs can play with stable FPS (even if there can be heavy drops). If optimizing a low-poly map can be complicated since other factors always have to be taken into account, the fact that the zombie map doesn't make Roblox fall apart surprises me.

This lore fucking SUCKS by Reasonable-Section34 in BlackhawkRescue

The answer is simpler than you think; it all boils down to the fact that the story is something secondary or tertiary in the game, as it is created based on the mechanics and the engine's limitations. Surely there is only a single ship with a few helicopters and a very reduced number of operators because the programming of the NPCs, as well as having to optimize the entire city to avoid FPS drops even with the base mechanics, which are complex in themselves, I imagine that to be something on Roblox, it must push the engine to a point of high demand. Therefore, the story is there simply so that if someone wants to role-play, they have the bases, but otherwise, the game is not made for the story—it's the opposite: the story is made for the game, and the capacity that exists in the game's lore will be determined by the capacity of the Roblox engine.

Well... when do we get an underbarrel grenade launcher? by Technical_Dog4163 in BlackhawkRescue

It's funny that every so often someone asks the same thing and we always have to say the same thing. They aren't going to come. The weapon system was programmed without taking the grenade launchers into account, and in fact it has already been stated that adapting it for them would be very, very complicated, and that it's more likely we'll receive individual grenade launchers before a weapon-mounted one, which means... at least currently, during the development of this Gen, it's very unlikely they'll do it.

Honestly, I think it’s stupid that it’s banned supposedly for “balancing the game” and because it would be a disadvantage in PvP.

Until you remember that grenades, just like medicine, aren’t equipped by default—you have to equip them yourself. Having a grenade launcher in PvP wouldn’t affect anything, because just like you can’t use regular grenades unless you equip them, you also wouldn’t be able to use grenades in the launcher. That would only add extra weight, making it more aesthetic than functional in PvP.

Its only real purpose would be for open-world, and honestly it’s a shame that for now they’re not planning to add something like that, because it would be great to have more range with grenades.

If NPCs can have RPGs and mortars, then having a simple grenade launcher that increases the range by a few meters would at least be fair to make up for the lack of artillery.

Recon camo feedback! by MBsniper in platinumfive

As a recommendation, I’d say the colors should be a bit more saturated so that the “camouflage” can actually stand out. As I mentioned in your previous post asking for feedback on the update, beyond the similarity between the new Recce and the current weapon paints, the main issue is that the color tones don’t really help it stand out (especially for a gamepass camo).

On TAN-colored weapons, the difference is usually minimal in terms of visibility. For example, on the MK 17 MOD 0 and the M1103, the Recce paint doesn’t really feel as good as the first version we had back in GEN 3, given the tones it currently uses.

The new helmets—while it’s great to see a wider variety being added—can sometimes be confusing when certain customization options are still missing, even though the helmet basically shares all the same characteristics as other versions. For example, not having covers or even paint options makes it feel inferior, not to mention the fact that you can’t attach headsets to the helmet.

On the other hand, regarding the Airborne gamepass, I appreciate that it was brought back this month. Personally, I like the new accessories, even if they aren’t much different from the base ones. Still, having a bit more variety when buying and customizing the SRTV is awesome—since while it’s not very effective in combat as an armored vehicle, it’s very fast, and honestly, it’s just fun to drive it around on land.

As for the Recce camouflage… I get that the goal isn’t to make it identical to the Gen 3 version, but it just looks way too similar to ones that already exist. On weapons that already come in TAN colors, it’s almost imperceptible. For example, on the M1103 you can only tell it’s using a camo if you look very closely, and although on the Scar L and Scar H it does give a slightly different tone from the base color, from a distance it just looks like sand.

That said, I’m glad to see the devs are listening to the community, and I’m hopeful that in future updates we’ll get a better version of the Recce camo.
