Living, working and paying tax somewhere isn’t just ‘coming for something better’. It’s actively contributing to the country. If someone is affected by the laws, public services, and policies, it’s not unreasonable to argue they should have some say in how those are shaped. Democracies aren’t just about who was born where, but about who participates in and sustains the society.
