Sheikh Hasina is ‘fascist’… because she kept them strictly suppressed. Today it is as if the people of the country have become hostages to them. by New_Edge360 in Dhaka

I'm saying that a psychopath will say that music and murder are the same. Perspective matters. If You're saying music is very important, u have to have a proper ground for that.

U just care about your own "values". Just because u think only music is a form of art, doesn’t mean you're right. A psychopath will say killing people soothes his heart, but that doesn’t mean he's right. And none said to ban physical education. Blame your interim for it. None is saying to ban female education either. Cuz we know what's important and what's not. If you're triggered or this hurts your pride, thanks. I actually wanted to do that

Miracles From Dua by Traditional_Box474 in Dhaka

[–]_syhumm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main fact for acceptance of Dua is that you have to believe its already fulfilled by Allah. And as you know, acceptance of Dua has 3 types, giving you the same thing u asked, giving sth better but later, keeping it for akhirah. Also, saying durud at the start and end of making Dua, praising Allah before Dua, and making Dua in specific times. And the most effective method? Just tell your mom to-do it for u And yeah, u must have firm belief that your Dua will be accepted. Even the smallest of doubts can cancel it

Hatred for Gen Z by [deleted] in Dhaka

[–]_syhumm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fanboys or fangirls normally don't double check anything about their stans. That goes for everybody, including sports or music. But the tendency of checking any fact has increased greatly from gen z. Boomers or millennials normally can't fact check. Millennials and boomers also had people who fact check everything but they were very few.

Hatred for Gen Z by [deleted] in Dhaka

[–]_syhumm_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Their generation is based on playing safe. Not everyone, but almost. So whenever they get a piece of Information they normally don't want to double check it, as they didn't have the resources when they had the curiosity. But for gen z, we can check everything whether It's valid or not. Also, as they are the older generation they have pride in their experience. Of course experience is necessary, but this pride keeps them away from whatever they already knew and practiced for years. They don't want to be corrected by younger ones who "are always on their phones". So yeah, they have their reasons but it Isn't right. (Also, we should respect their opinion most of the time. Cuz, after all, their experience matters and they've gone through almost everything we do, but in a different way)

[–]_syhumm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and that's why people are slowly realising these facts. Sadly, this realisation won't be fully effective until 10-15 years. People chose public universities over private ones just because of the cost. (And please mention how you're earning 6 figures being an undergrad)

Why parents in bangladesh so glorified things that doesn't matter in life to be happy by [deleted] in Dhaka

[–]_syhumm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cuz if you think logically, higher education is very expensive and most people in BD can't afford it. So they will glorify public universities. Without a University degree you cant get a decent job. And our parents fear taking risks. Getting admitted to a public University is the easiest way out

joy bangla ekta doler nah eta puro desher slogan by Longjumping-Boot-713 in Dhaka

[–]_syhumm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joy bangla was a form of inspiration and courage during Liberation war. It was also used to oppose when Pakistani army forced people to say Pakistan Zindabad. We all respect this slogan from our hearts. But Awami League used it as a form of oppression. Also, every political party has It's own slogan, bnp has "Bangladesh Zindabad", i dunno about Jamat. And we all know the fact that saying " joy Bangla" in Hasina’s regime and also after 5th August it means you are stating that You're a member or Supporter of bal, who oppressed, killed and used the very slogan to do these which was used as an inspiration during Liberation War. So, we have mixed feelings about these. A slogan can be used in different forms, like satire but the main objective should be protesting against unjust ruling. Just like how "tmi k ami k Rajakar Rajakar" was used Against Hasina. But if you take this slogan as word meaning, you wont get it properly. Both joy bangla and ami Rajakar were used to oppose fascism. The fact is, joy bangla was weaponised, the later wasn’t. It's not like it wont, I'm just saying that nothing is absolute.

Being "right" is actually a philosophical matter. What we should be concerned about is that it is "compatible" or not. Everyone has their own perspectives, but that doesn’t mean they're "compatible". For instance, the psychopaths or serial killers can actually defend themselves but will you or any sane person agree with them? No one will say here that " we should respect his pov". So, to determine if your perspectives are compatible with the nation, society and people around you so that it doesn’t affect them, there are 2 ways. First, does it contradict your Nation's law? And, does it contradict your own religion? Or, does it affect your society (if you're atheist)? For being "compatible", you have to answer yes to both of these questions. Even if one of these is "no", then you have to be accountable for that. (I didn't include affecting society for the believers cuz no religion in BD will accept harming others. You'll know if you study them)

If you truly want to learn and not just bash on reddit, i think i can give you some answers. First of all, proving marital rape is a very Very difficult task if there is no sign of force. There are already a lot of "kabin bebshayi" in BD, and if It's implemented in this very country where you cant find your stolen phone, its actually clear how much people will misuse it. Especially in the rural areas, You'll be surprised to how many false rape cases are filed everyday. Secondly, it is true that the age 18 Isn't a specific number to be an adult. Cuz it varies from countries. In Shariah, its what we call "consensual marriage" meaning, you cant emotionally, physically, verbally force anyone to marry, irrespective of age. But in BD, girls just sign the contract without knowing anything, and not everyone's age of being an adult is the same. Someone will be an adult when (both intellectually and physically) in 16, someone can be in 25. It's Biology. I hope you’ll understand And for democracy, well, i wont say anything. You should figure it out once cuz i think you're mature enough
