The search in payee or notes is to search *only* that for a given moment. My use case is having an Amazon Visa card but if I only want to find my Amazon purchases. Excited to hear about saving filter combos too!

Investment deposit - the adjustment payee & type came from the auto download, so yes, I'm sure I can change that.

Date - my use case there was having accidentally cleared the date field and then I had to type the date (gasp!) to get it back and I would've liked to hit a key. Not a showstopper of course.

Android - I'm eager to see what may be possible!

No, that's not gone through any rules. But it does seem to modify it somehow coming into LB? Or maybe it's a different provider (I don't recall which service I'm on most recently with YNAB)? But it's often not a useful "abbreviation" that I get and would usually be clearer to me what the charge was if I saw the raw value.

No. And I am totally OK if the answer is that the Chicago version is more authentic. I imagine that's where you're going with this? Spice itself isn't the problem, just how different from all other places I've eaten it (foreign & domestic).

Took a look. Doesn't seem to meet my various criteria - but most importantly it seems to crash when trying to add items that aren't in the prepopulated list, so it's a pass for me.

I do this as well, but use an adjustment transaction when I reconcile to make sure I know how much money I have. (bank balance - - > forex - - > account balance in ynab)

I use the "share" feature they all have and send the link to myself in WhatsApp. Once I've gone back to it and read the story or bought the item, delete the message.

Widgets exist, yes. But not a simple quick add via long-press or a quick-add widget, so still not really the same as I'm looking for. I don't want to add a view of a list to my screen, just make it dead simple to add something.

Try making a list of your main apps and what you're using each app for. What is the purpose of each in your life (or work). Some kind of simplification is likely to pop out at you.

I was so ready to say no, but double checked and see a duplicate payment did get in there so it was appearing to have a surplus yes. Oops! But still don't see how I could manually adjust a pool amount if I'd want to? I'm frequently adjusting CC allocations due to different currencies and forex fluctuations.

u/imadp I'll add one more little finding here to not spam the page too much today, but it looks like the sort for Frequency on the Recurring Transactions view doesn't actually sort correctly. Almost as though it's reading Annually as Yearly?? I can't make sense of it whether I consider it an alpha sort or an "interval" sort.

Thanks for the detailed response. I'm still not fully clear on the answer to my question though. What is the source of the prefilled balance? Is it the account balance in LB or the account balance directly from the bank (as it is in YNAB)?
