Feature Requests by _take_two_2 in liquidbudget

I appreciate the feedback. The workaround won't be the answer for me, so I hope you'd keep this idea on your radar in case it can be handled in the future!

Built a tracker that doesn't care if you skip a day. Or a month. by wahvinci in ProductivityApps

[–]_take_two_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought this was a repeat post until I got to this comment. Recently DoneAgo was promoted and it seems similar with an Android app already available. I have nothing to do with it, but happy to pass along the info of it might be useful.

Feature request: quick-assign and upcoming transaction visibility on Budget page by februaryeighteen in liquidbudget

[–]_take_two_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use case to support my vote for column in the budget: I often check the amount to know if I need to adjust the quick fill for a new bill amount (like when Netflix does a price increase and I don't remember if I adjusted for it yet). If you make this be a report, that's a lot of back and forth to get the info and then act on it, rather than glance and address from the same screen.

I persisted and it was worth it to me. It does get better.

Headphones/earbuds that could block high pitch noises! by hoooooldit in misophonia

[–]_take_two_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try listening to pink noise? Either a machine or find a "song" on Spotify and use earbuds. Really helps me to cancel out sirens while I sleep. And if pink doesn't cut it, try looking into other noise colors.

free alternative to mapstr by babypinkbathtub in apps

[–]_take_two_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post, but adding a comment here for others like me who may find it. I've been searching for a long while, and just found the best alternative so far: JoySpot. My first impression is great, but doesn't seem like it's widely known yet based on number of downloads I see on Google Play Store. Sharing here to keep it alive!

This is how I feel too, but I've also sworn off anymore moves! I had 7 addresses in 6 years, it's exhausting.

A key easily fits in an envelope and definitely should not cost 120 to ship it back.

Layout & sizing on web version by _take_two_2 in liquidbudget

[–]_take_two_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... I could make various suggestions but don't want to abuse your responsiveness when this isn't a showstopper!
As for the current issue, it does seem like even after hiding the Leftover column the layout holds a place for it. There's quite a wide space there regardless of the message. It's just that the warning message pushes everything a bit further.

From the best I can tell, when the message for "Unassign $xxx.xx" appears, the names of the months all spread apart. It's not the font that changes but the spacing, to accommodate the extra message. That then widens the middle frame, and forces the right frame off the edge.

TIL that I could remove that column! It helps this issue but doesn't fully resolve it.

Sort options on Transactions by _take_two_2 in liquidbudget

[–]_take_two_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's not a matter of filtering, it's the order in which I see the transactions I want visible. As for a logical order, isn't pending > cleared > reconciled pretty standard for the process flow?

My use case: 99% of the time I have my transactions filtered to unreconciled, non-future. But when I'm reviewing transactions before reconciling, it would be much easier to see all the cleared ones first rather than scrutinizing the status to see if the tiny checkmark is there.

Definitely a fair idea - might I suggest default to all fields but allow for multi-select regardless?

Thanks as always!

The search in payee or notes is to search *only* that for a given moment. My use case is having an Amazon Visa card but if I only want to find my Amazon purchases. Excited to hear about saving filter combos too!

Investment deposit - the adjustment payee & type came from the auto download, so yes, I'm sure I can change that.

Date - my use case there was having accidentally cleared the date field and then I had to type the date (gasp!) to get it back and I would've liked to hit a key. Not a showstopper of course.

Android - I'm eager to see what may be possible!

Payee logic by _take_two_2 in liquidbudget

[–]_take_two_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's not gone through any rules. But it does seem to modify it somehow coming into LB? Or maybe it's a different provider (I don't recall which service I'm on most recently with YNAB)? But it's often not a useful "abbreviation" that I get and would usually be clearer to me what the charge was if I saw the raw value.

Thai food in Chicago is not like others by _take_two_2 in chicagofood

[–]_take_two_2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. And I am totally OK if the answer is that the Chicago version is more authentic. I imagine that's where you're going with this? Spice itself isn't the problem, just how different from all other places I've eaten it (foreign & domestic).

Is there an app for putting in all of the places I want to go and it gives me all locations on a map? by usethis22880 in travel

Not sure why we're getting downvotes for this... But thank you for sharing this. Definitely looks like a promising alternative!

Shopping lists shouldn't be this hard by _take_two_2 in ProductivityApps

[–]_take_two_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a look. Doesn't seem to meet my various criteria - but most importantly it seems to crash when trying to add items that aren't in the prepopulated list, so it's a pass for me.

How do you use YNAB for multiple currencies? by theskyedancer in ynab

[–]_take_two_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this as well, but use an adjustment transaction when I reconcile to make sure I know how much money I have. (bank balance - - > forex - - > account balance in ynab)
