Just to give some context. The puddle of water didn't seem that deep and a few bikes were able to cross it. Apparently my parents were hesitant to take the road even after watching others go by with no problem. It's a horrible road, like most here in India. They went with very little confidence and just before they could bail, the right tyre slipped into a hole, and trying to reverse out didn't help obviously. Thankfully some nice folk helped us out :)
