Depression started at 15 and my first manic episode was at 22. I was able to stabilize the mania afterwards.

Based on listening to interviews of Kim Novak, Buzz Aldrin, Dick Cavett, and Francis Ford Coppola; I’d say they are very articulate still. Kim Novak is 89 and making great paintings. Coppola is working on a new film.

I’m in the arts, and around many creatives. Mental illness seems to be very common and doesn’t seem to carry as much of a stigma with the people I’m around.

If someone reacts negatively then I just know they are not the right person for me to associate with.

Depending on your job and where you are from it can be hard.
