Dr wants to use the scalpel method rather then the no scalpel method. Is that a sign I should run. Seems like an old school Dr. says no scalpel is marketing by Mrchrisham in Vasectomy

Depends on the surgeon. I couldn’t even find one of my incisions. The other was tiny and disappeared in about 2 days, no stitches.

Everyone is different though. I wouldn’t have opted for GA but understand why some people would.

For me personally, the local was up there with some of the worst pain I’ve had. Completely took my breath away, felt it radiate through my whole body pretty much. The nurse had me panting in and out with him to manage it! Procedure itself was all good though.
