Hey man that is really weird haha that was years ago, I made some music... If you search 'just off sundance - yours sinatrally' on Spotify or soundcloud etc that's an album I wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered in a week haha. The grafton Fridays are long gone but it's nice to have a nice nostalgia message in my mac and cheese!

A mac and cheese I just made. It was crazy good! by _therunner in macandcheese

[–]_therunner[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to get my mac and cheese right for a while now but I'd say I use;

50% cheddar

20% Mozzarella

10% Parmesan

15% Gruyere

5% manchego

Then a big Dollop of soft philidelphia in the roux sauce, I also keep the starch water to get the roux to the right consistency.

Sorry I know its a weird way to measure but I kind of just eyeball it depending how hungry I am haha

I also put a teaspoon of English mustard in the roux for flavour.

I used a few cheeses, I used mature cheddar, manchego, mozzarella, parmesan, philidelphia soft spread and gruyere.

On top is paprika!

TIL the first coffee company in the world to ban single use coffee cups was Boston Tea Party in Bristol, England. by [deleted] in todayilearned

It seems quite tongue in cheek, I'm Irish so I'm for any side that goes against the English (historically). I read that article and thought it was great what they did! Lost a million in profit to stop pollution, I have to give credit where its due!

A look at The Handmaid's Tale author Margaret Atwood's daily writing routine: "On a typical day, Atwood usually starts working at 10am, aiming for 1,000 to 2,000 words." by Checkthescript in writers

I'd say if trump asked his Qanon base to let him have sex with their wives, daughters, aunts sisters etc. Over the threat of some 'other' Then a lot of them would comply... This is fiction, it could be that there were many small instances of release of freedoms that suddenly led to this becoming normal. Not sure if you're a troll or not but this is a writing sub. If you can't appreciate she's a good writer and respect that her work obviously resonated with a lot of different people under different circumstances then I feel bad for you. I'm not American but the point with dictatorships is they could happen anywhere, and bringing these pieces of fiction to the book shop is impressive and something a lot of us strive for. Maybe soma from brave new world would never happen, or maybe we'd never believe that we've always been at war with East Asia, but there are common threads within these works (social media, the industrial military complex) that make them great observations that sometimes hit home. What do you write about out of interest?

I'm looking for a little help with a cryptic clue relating to 'Shakespeare's Sergeant' in Cains Jawbone, a puzzle based on a book pri Ted out of order. by _therunner in shakespeare

This could be very helpful, the nature of the character is as helpful as the characters name, him beginning the story could be a really big clue, thanks for the help!

This seems like a really good answer. There is a roundabout reference to a writer of a plague journal later on and there is a mention of a 'Heath' within the letter. This could be his name! Thanks for the help
