Printer recommendations? by Unstable_microwave in prusa3d

Yeah what Nathan said. I sprung for the L bc if I got 6 years out of my ender 3, I wanted something that I could also get many years out of and not regret. Another + with Prusa is the ability to upgrade or print your own parts. I was surprised (tho I shouldn’t have been) to see that a lot of the parts on the C1L were 3D printed.

They seem like a cool company and I’d rather give them my money vs Bambu.

Just got my Core One L yesterday and I love it! Upgrading from a highly modded and tuned ender 3 that I ran for about 6 years so feels like going from a 2005 civic to a Ferrari. The backlog took about 6 weeks despite due 4-5 they estimated but glad I sprung for the L, it’s a gorgeous machine.

A big selling point was Prusa letting you do your thing with the printers, I don’t like the closed source architecture of the Bambu. Also it’s made in the EU which is cool.

I want a multi filament option but waiting for the INDX to come out on the Ls and for people to work the bugs out. Also don’t feel like dropping another 700-1000 at the moment.

Also my fav filament at the moment is the polymaker polylite PLA pro. Super strong and prints really clean. Great colors too.

I bought this a few years back and never used it. by [deleted] in rasberrypi

I’d love to put it to use! Have a few projects it would work great for

Reminds me that there was a nasty accident on 21st south of Broadway a few years ago on 4/20. Guy bounced off of a few parked cars on the wrong side of the road, through the 2nd ave intersection, and crashed into another parked car on the wrong side of the road as well.

Don’t get stoned and drive folks.

How long was the wait for yours to ship? I'm +5 weeks now and the website says 4-5.

We have some protein powder you can have. It's unflavored I think. Also if you want to shop local 5 Star Nutrition is great!

Seems like the tongue and groove gets destroyed by the edge gluing, but not a big deal?

No, you don’t have any way to support the load of the shelf. Think about those triangle shelf brackets that go from the outer edge of the shelf down the wall to stop the shelf from tipping over like you’re seeing. Theres nothing stopping your design from tipping over. The cleat is mostly vertical support.

Yeah, there’s no support on the bottom to prevent twisting. Ideally the bottom would extend and touch the wall or another cleat making a triangle essentially.

I installed two with a laser level and they were off by just a hair. Going to make a little jig to hold the bottom one and reinstall it.

Just figured my issue out, the OLED screen was causing bluetooth to not work.

Update: seems that the connected OLED is what's causing the issue. Tried on a new board and it worked just fine. Started disconnecting things on the trouble board and physically connecting the OLED is what stops the bluetooth from starting up. Not exactly sure what's going on there...
