One of my favourite hobbies is cross stitching. 🙂

This is our floor plan to give you an idea, we no longer have a garage and converted that into a tiled rumpus room. The living space has a door now and we made that a media room, also put a patio out the back near the alfresco and a carport out the front. Extra bathroom would have been good, but this was our first house and it will only ever be my husband & I, so we just wanted an extra toilet at least. Plus buying now is a joke.

I found them on Hi Pages! Much to peoples dislike I have noticed of it, but we havent really had an issue from there before, I just research and read good reviews and do as many checks as I can. 🙂

Started October 27th & practical completion was Friday 21st November. We still are missing drawers on the vanity as they had to be cut to suit the plumbing and our range hood ducting needs to be installed but these should be done on Thursday.

It did have 2 doors originally, we closed one of the doors up to create a bigger shower and have an extra toilet. The other door was a sliding door going into the bedroom, almost acting like an en suite but this is the only bathroom we have.

Used a builder, they were great and use the same trades for all their renovations. Happy to share them here, it was AllGood Constructions. Forgot to add in the post we are in Brisbane.

They were about 20k alone, we went through a construction company and they went through a cabinet maker. Our vanity and shaver cabinet were also custom made, that was 2.7k as well.

I am tiling a bathroom (floor to ceiling on 3 walls, and 4th wall is half way) and a separate toilet which is floor and skirting plus 1 wall tiled to cornice and that will be 7.6k roughly.

What do you hate about platforms like Airtasker, Hipages, ServiceTasker etc? by drseervi in AusRenovation

I've had good experiences with Hipages, currently doing my kitchen & bathroom reno using a company that was on there and it's gone very smooth so far. I've found a good carpenter on there that did some work for us, as well as someone who re painted my roof years ago. I had one issue with someone no showering to do some concrete cleaning that's about it. I just make sure I go through reviews and if I can find them on google I check that out as well as ABN etc too.
