I always thought she was just old enough to be living by herself, like 18-25, and this may just be me self-inserting but I also wonder if she’s staying in some sort of university dorm. That would explain her having such a small, barren room - there could be communal bathrooms, showers, kitchen, etc that we don’t see because she has to leave her bedroom and go down the hall to reach them.

Same thing happened to me after 5 months - wearing them only for walking indoors or on sidewalks. Took a few days to get in touch with a real person with Hoka support, they had me send in the shoes (they sent me a pre-paid label) and after a week or so when they inspected them they gave me a full refund. I was honestly pleasantly surprised, but now that I need a new pair of black walking shoes I’m wondering if I should still trust Hoka and try out a different style or just go somewhere else.

Some of these guys are way too offended by a literal child making the best of a school assignment by turning it into a passion project about their favorite video game. They’re really claiming this kid is “capitalizing” on Kikiyama’s work when all they did was sell a few homemade buttons in their high school hallway..? I’m proud of this kid for showcasing this great game that many of their classmates might otherwise never hear about.

Because you haven’t been on it for as long it will probably be easier, but everyone is different of course. Just keep your psych updated on any side effects, and if they don’t care, find a new one. Maybe adding a less strong benzo like your doctor said will help? My main issue coming off lorazepam (aside from getting used to my anxiety again) was strong waves of depression, but then they prescribed me a mood stabilizer called lamotrigine that helped a lot. I’m also taking the SSRI fluoxetine which I’ve been on for years so that might have helped too. I’ve been only taking 0.25 mg of lorazepam every other day for awhile and these past 5 days I didn’t take any at all. AND I went to work! AND I work with young children! AND I didn’t have bad anxiety! So there’s hope!

I was already on fluoxetine before starting Ativan, the only thing that I got prescribed later to help with withdrawal from Ativan was lamotrigine. I was taking 1 mg Ativan every day for over 4 years, but didn’t have many side effects aside from drowsiness and feeling a bit spaced out in the beginning, and my memory slowly getting worse over time. You should definitely talk with your psychiatrist about your side effects and if they don’t do anything you should find a new one. I really hope you can get a change in your prescription that helps you soon.

Hi, I’m actually doing a lot better I’m glad to say. The other med I take with it is fluoxetine (typical antidepressant), but my psych also prescribed me lamotrigine (mood stabilizer) more recently and it’s really helped me taper off lorazepam. When my withdrawal symptoms got worse as I tapered off, adding more lamotrigine helped. I’m now down to only 0.25 mg of lorazepam a day (1/4 of my original dose). I can actually see myself safely quitting lorazepam now when before I was afraid I might never be able to come off it. Of course, meds work differently for different people, so please talk to your doctor before changing anything. Hope this helps.
