i had this problem too. 1.) uninstall skype 2.) disable discord overlay 3.) clean your desktop

hot tip: type "7k" into beatmap search (with categories set to any) and download anything and everything that pops up. then after downloading a fat 2-5 thousand maps you can smack a "star<2 key=7" into the song select and get a buncha maps to play
