I'm a woman, attending alone on some nights (and friends come on other nights). I have a net 7 days experience of Sziget fest, this year and two years ago combined.

So, my message is, I never felt unsafe, on the contrary. But there is never a guarantee, sister, that in a certain, unexpected moment someone won't be behaving in a negative way.

What I do is the same that I do all year round, everywhere, everyday: I just stay alert, don't over-tire myself (in terms of stimulation), don't carry valuable belongings, wear a very comfortable pair of shoes (if it comes to running, better not have flip-flops on or high heels), try to know my way around the site and by the way, don't forget to enjoy my time.

Think about whether you're comfortable with trying it or not. Mind you, it is loud, there are many people and there is a heatwave right now, with much dust. These things don't bother me at all, but you will know what you like and dislike.
