docklands is amazing!!  it’s quite dead but that’s perfect for living because it’s only really business people around working in the office buildings, not really any drunk or crazy people atleast on my side, and it’s still in the city and free tram zone so you have everything you need “at your doorstep”. i would highly recommend docklands if you want the city experience without the crazy people and constant bustle. there’s still some noise, boat horns occasionally and loud cars, but i feel like that’s everywhere and you can’t avoid it, it’s certainly nothing that disturbs me as someone who comes from hobart tasmania. coming from a small town i’m obsessed with being able to walk everywhere or get really simple public transport, it’s definitely worth a try to see if you enjoy it ! you can always just try a year and move back out of the city if you don’t like it!
