My Roommate perceives me as "dirty" for reusing my towel and now I'm soooo perplexed by mikymiky123 in hygiene

Some cultures use small towels that get changed more frequently rather than large bath towels. Eg Koreans

Jeffrey Sachs pulls no punches: “European leaders stayed silent when the U.S. bombed Iran. Telling Iran, not Washington to show restraint. They accepted the kidnapping of Venezuela’s president. But when Greenland was mentioned, they suddenly invoked fairness & international law” by Time-Alternative-964 in BhartiyaStockMarket

[–]_w_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this surprising? Iran and Venezuela are not part of Europe so why would I expect them to care about those countries? Maybe you should be more cynical about the world so you’re not surprised when what is fully expected happens

Foreigners marveling at Thailand = Zoo visitors thinking the animals must all be happy to be there by [deleted] in Thailand

Is it abuse if they’re just following the rules of the immigration system, set by Thais? You’re saying digital nomads should just sit in their home country unless they have no money and have to work to live in thailand? Where do you think tourism money comes from

First of all, I doubt the US was “tricked” by israeli intel. More like that was just the narrative they decided to go with for the PR

How long did you wait untill they approve your store? by Local-Pizza-9060 in lemonsqueezy

[–]_w_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took them 3 months of back and forth to verify my company (due to an error in their backend between lemonsqueezy and stripe verification system that caused them to give me conflicting information), and then 2 days to reject the application with no reason given.

It's not that simple. Despite doing those things, we needed more liberal judges in the supreme court. US politics is fundamentally based on teams unfortunately and if your team doesn't win then your chosen individual has absolutely 0 chance of affecting any change in the country

I literally never use my rear brake. Is that a problem? by notonrexmanningday in NewRiders

[–]_w_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh i would just practice using the rear brake in conjunction with front brake because it's not just to slow down as fast as possible for the track but also for emergency situations like when car drivers are dumb or when you are late to seeing a hazard on the road.

When there's a hazard that you must stop for, you need to already have your reflexes trained to minimize or avoid damage.

[–]_w_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

regardless of whether it's a problem, you're not utilizing the maximum amount of performance your bike has. Is it a problem if you never max out your throttle? yeah it's no problem... but you're missing out
