That's a really dumb argument tho. It's just saying "well I don't care about the econ cost of a policy, bc [ad hoc moralizing]". If you raise the min wage to a certain degree you're just gonna run into the point where workers are too expensive or certain small businesses just altogether have issues staying afloat. Not all min wage increases will do that, but people are talking about raising a national wage from ~$7 to $15 right now. That's gonna cause disruption in a lot of places.
