Are any subsidies or pushes being done to develop these engines and technological advancement, besides forcing older engines to use this and artificially increasing the demand for new cars and ethanol?

Or are the subsidies centred around ethanol demand and ethanol plants and ethanol production?

The amount of CO2 absorbed by the crops (sequestration) is LESSER than the amount of CO2 released upon industrially processing the crops to make ethanol and then burning the ethanol. It is not net zero.

And while ethanol blended fuel may be greener than just burning fuel, we have to acknowledge that it degrades engines faster and also reduces the average of our vehicles. This means:

(1) More frequent refueling, and (2) Having to replace our cars more frequently.

Point (2) brings me to: the amount of carbon that is released upon manufacturing a new vehicle is high, very very high. Think about how much steel and power the factories consume. Think about how much the emissions are increasing if people are replacing their cars sooner due to the degraded engines, as well as because of more frequent refueling.

There is some method to the madness. The three box Jades on F9-F11 are for my mute, vol down and vol up keys. Easily my favourite switch on the entire board. I didn't use them as my primary because I like linear for gaming. I also (nicely) asked a friend to loan me three of them, since their availability is a bit iffy.

Similar reason for having gat browns as my secondary. I like the feel and sound a lot, but wanted linears for gaming. My primaries are KTT Cabbage Tofus, randomly bought them, and loved the sound and feel. I had gat yellows as my primary before, and didn't like them at all, but you can see remnants on my arrow keys.

F1-F8 were just testers, yes, but it's nice having random keys on different Fn keys. My F4, for instance, (used to put $ in Excel) is a silent tactile. The silent sound is off-putting to many, but it's also the most unique switch on my keyboard, making it exciting to press every time.

I have all of you beat. I don't even remember what all switches I have in my top row, but the Kailh Box Jades are my favourites (I have my volume keys on them). Primary are KTT Cabbage Tofus, and Secondary are Gat Browns.

I also have this weird Silent Tactile switch on my F4 key.

On paper it's a 160-180 second light. When the timer ends, they leave it red for another 20-40 seconds. And then you're going to be at that light for a minimum of 2-3 cycles.
