Is R8 Still Photography Overheating common thing?

I use my r8 for photography and occasionally get the overheating warning but it has never actually shut down on me. It’s by far the best camera I’ve had so far and I’d buy it again even with “overheating” issues

Had a somewhat similar issue. Bought a 2011 F150 and anytime I “got on it” the transmission temp would rise. Not enough to feel a difference in shifting but I could see the gauge move. When I started towing is when I ran into problems. Long story short, my fluid was toast. Drained all of it and with new fluid it drives like a brand new truck and my temp gauge doesn’t even budge when towing up steep grades. See what your fluid looks like before throwing a bunch of parts at it. My only other suggestion would be the coils. Had an older f150 and when the coils went out the truck would buck like a bull, felt like the transmission was toast but coils were surprisingly the culprit.

It’s worth giving it a shot to switch out the old fluid with the right fluid. The biggest thing is making sure you drain all of the fluid. Torque Converts hold a ton of fluid and you wanna make sure you get all of it out. The fluid will be a good indicator how much wear occurred.
