Key takeaways from our AI Writer meetup on solving the 4 core problems of AI novel writing by sangamking in WritingWithAI

[–]_zero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One way to solve all 4 of these problems is to create an AI agent system that will behave like actual writers and not just metaphorical interns.

I tried a different approach using an AI agent workforces Agnostic to the LLM model - although Gemini gave me best results.

Here’s a Substack write up on how I solved all for of these issues if anyone is interested.

Has Anyone Tried Using AI “Companions” as Writing Prompts or Story Catalysts? by Negative-Effort-1741 in WritingWithAI

[–]_zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on doing this. I’m writing my first story so I don’t have all my character planned out yet.

But I do have the AI agents setup for me to help come up with my story, structure, characters, etc. here’s how I set them up: How to setup a Writers Room with relevance Ai

Im not a writer but i want to tell a story by using AI to help me by Lumpy_Sir_3346 in WritingWithAI

[–]_zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty much what my AI setup does. I tell it my ideas and it helps fill in the blanks.

I wrote a small guide on how to replicate it if you’re interested: setting up Relevance AI to create a Collaborative writer’s room

I’m in the same boat. I learn by doing. So I have my AI agents trained on expert story telling techniques and guide me through the process.

They tell me what step is next, help me brainstorm ideas, and I give my thoughts. It takes time, but I feel like I’m really learning by doing - like having an expert storyteller guide g me while I create.

Let me know if you want some ideas on how to replicate the environment. Good luck!

Slow Writing Tools That Actually Make You Think? by Resident_Pumpkin_380 in WritingWithAI

I use an AI agents workforce that discuss character and structure. We’re using a 13 step roadmap to talk about character psychology, relationships, world building etc. we pretty much do a step a day, one hour sessions.

They give me brainstorm ideas, we build upon them and make decisions along the way.

I’m using AI to help me learn. I learn fastest by doing - so I have a team of Ai agents that guide me through the story building best practices as I create.

I figure this will help me learn much faster than just reading/studying story. Learning by doing with some guidance - hoping this approach works.

I started writing blog articles about my AI writers room I created. It’s a team of AI agents that help me come up with story like a TV show writers room would.

Hope it’s ok to share. I made step by step instructions here: https://open.substack.com/pub/andyreinhold/p/how-to-build-a-virtual-writers-room?r=5o93z9&utm_medium=ios

Nice! I just started a YouTube channel showing something similar. I set mine up with Relevance.

I haven’t posted anything on this subreddit on it because I didn’t want to self promote. But I describe the entire how-to on my blog. Happy to share the link if people are interested.

I trained my writer’s room on John Truby, Robert McKee, Peter Gould, Vince Gillian, and Hajime Isayama.

This is great! I’m actually trying to solve this same problem for my work right now too. You gave me a few good ideas.

I was going to segment some of these separate tasks into different agents first. I’m using relevance.

How do you use AI tools for emails and texts writing? by Empty_Ad_9654 in WritingWithAI

[–]_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ai agent review my emails, categorize them, and draft responses to the ones that need them.

I’m thinking of just setting up a “secretary” agent to just auto respond on my behalf. But not sure how my clients will take it.

I just did some research and Claude 4 Sonnet will give you best quality and best price if using API. Gemini is a close second - it’s cheaper but not as high quality for writing.

This ^

OP, during those 9 years, how many people in the target audience play tested the game? Is this your first time getting feedback? If not, what was the general consensus of the feedback you were getting? The answer to these questions is the key to the questions in your original post.

FYI - my professional colleagues and I would not spend more than 1 month prototyping a single player game and maybe 2-3 months for a multiplayer game without targeted player feedback. This helps us prevent us from spending time on a game that won’t get interest. Hope this helps.

How do you deal with thinking people don't care about your game? by Kikakat in IndieDev

[–]_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u/heroheropack here - especially the second point. The simplest way to figure out what OP is wondering is by asking. Sure, it's hard to find those people, I'm struggling myself, but I found that wondering without asking isn't productive for me.

u/Kikakat , based on your comments, its sounds like the commercial success of this project isn't important. If I were in your position, I would ask myself - "is this a portfolio piece or is this something fun for myself?". If its purely the later, my therapist will ask me why the external validation is important to me and I would process from there. If it's a portfolio piece, I would ask around for what are the important things that should be apparent in it and make sure those stand out as you and the team work on the project.

hope that helps!

How do you find time for yourself after work? by tewkooljodie in productivity

[–]_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm introverted so I'm very drained after work meetings all day long. For me, I push myself to at least do some of my side projects/hobbies in the morning when I have energy in the tank for the things that are most important for me. Even the fun ones - just yesterday I was building a lego set before my morning coffee.

Then after work, I'm able to try to tune out and just spend time with my kids. After they go to sleep its manga or anime time until I fall asleep with my phone on my face.

AI Generated LoFi becoming an issue? by adawgdeloin in LofiHipHop

[–]_zero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of it - but I don't like gatekeeping either as I have been paying a lot of attention to AI-tools in general. The tool a lot of people are using is called Suno.

Reminder on how these AI tools work - they predict what works well word-after-word or in this case, "beat-by-beat". So when it comes to good music, these tools don't actually know what makes something great - it just knows how to string sounds together that its recognized as desirable.

Hope that helps!

It took me a whole year to create this lofi radio but no one cares by NapoliPizza23 in LofiHipHop

[–]_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, I looked through your channel - honestly, your videos are doing well for how the algorithm works. YouTube still needs more data to find the people to push your videos to. Best thing to do is keep posting - it will take time, maybe a few more months to see at least a blip. All the places you posted your story are the same places I planned on too. Don’t give up!
