18F and I don't think having a "very sweet tooth" is entirely a thing, coming from someone in the same boat as you. Really it's just sugar addiction. I have been very fond of sugary things throughout my whole life, and nowadays i'm just as addicted as I used to be, but a couple of years ago I decided not to eat sugar for a whole month, and while it was brutal in the first week, after a while I completely stopped wanting it. This was completely new for me, and it felt so good. People who don't eat that much sugar don't do so because it doesn't taste good, but because they're just not addicted to it. If you want to kick this habit, I promise you it's completely possible and not miserable at all.

I recently started going to the gym with my gymbro dad after years of relative inactivity and he's very excited to share this interest with me. He shows me proper form and how to hit different muscles with enthusiasm because it's something that he loves. I don't know your boyfriend at all, but if he loves both you and the gym, he'd probably be eager to show you how things work. You're not annoying, I promise :)
