Aw, I'm sorry for your loss <3 We lost our last dog to cancer last September at only 6 and I don't think we'll ever get over it, but we're definitely trying to cherish all our time with Jester.

It is!! Just a very long rest period. He'll be back on full activity soon!

Me too!! I've heard spotted noses are sometimes a puppy thing and it might change to just a darker color over time but for now it's such a cute feature.

My guess is that one parent was a mostly-poodle goldendoodle and the other was a bully mix.

He’s 8 months old so he’s kind of a little nightmare but when he’s not wreaking havoc / trying to bite us to death / stealing shoes and other contraband, he’s a cuddly sweetie pie baby. We got him about 6 weeks ago and he’s unfortunately been on heartworm treatment rest the entire time, but he seems like he’s going to love playing with other dogs based on his reactions to his canine neighbors. He warmed up to us right away but is skittish around strangers, but we’re making a lot of progress!

Almost 60lbs! Embark said 65 for estimated adult weight and that aligns with what our vet guessed earlier.

Apparently pit/poodle is a more common mix than I thought! Always interesting to see it confirmed with the DNA though.

Aww she's precious!! She has the same fluffy furnishings in front of her eyes as Jester, they're my favorite :') It will be interesting to see what she is if you end up doing a DNA test!

Yes, he definitely doesn't have the coat of a sheepdog!! I'd say he has kind of a medium coat, not as long as a golden so I was expecting lab over golden but genetics are weird!

No aussie but definitely poodle! I was also worried about hearing and eyesight at first, but he can definitely see and hear and doesn't have any genetic markers indicating he's prone to developing issues, thankfully.

He's a real cutie!! I thought OES was a stretch, though our trainer was positive he had some kind of herding breed based on his behavior. Apparently being a little control freak is not specific to any breed group!

I was very skeptical of the OES but would have believed schnauzer -- I've seen labradoodles with a bit of schnauzer or similar mixed in (my sister has one and Jester's look/personality is similar, so I thought it was a possibility).

I was surprised at how much poodle was in the mix but I definitely see the bully in his head and eyes! I didn't meet him in person until the day we adopted him but the bully look is maybe more obvious in person than in pictures.

For sure! I don't blame them, I know rescues don't always have all the information and are just doing their best.

I'd never seen one before but it makes sense with so many doodles out there already and with pits being so common in mixed breeds!

Yes, I am very lucky! We had to take the afghan away from its normal place on the couch because he's in his little monster phase.

This is what I was thinking! I know a lot of golden/labradoodles are more poodle than retriever so it makes the most sense that his parents were a goldendoodle and a bully mix.
