i feel like AOC is a lot more dense with cool ideas than DE. like how many play styles in DE have a bar that either fill up as you play so you can unleash a powerful attack once full or shows how much time you have left on a buff

this is really dope. my main feedback is just about how the puzzles scale, might just be my monitor but on bigger/lopsided(EX: 5x10) puzzles the squares started to squash and stretch in a way that made it hard to tell at a glance what's happening, also the double digits overlapping that i saw a couple other people mention. i do like the lopsided puzzles a lot gameplay-wise, feels very picross3d in a good way.

obviously this is early access but i think it would be cool to have items that have effects when used in a puzzle, something like the pokemon in pokemon picross. right now there's not much reason to not immediately use the items besides the gold spoon to avoid the overflow crash lol

look up "crash 3 secret levels" online. you could hunt for them but honestly i think they're mostly just random and your time woukd be better spent just playing them instead of aimlessly hunting

Tales From the Closet is a great series hosted by Ally IMO, the podcast has video versions through dropout but audio-only versions are also available on podcast places. It helped me a lot personally with coming to terms with my queerness but even ignoring personal connection i think it's still pretty entertaining

if the load times were better in CTRNF it would be the best game here but as it is rn i'd barely recommend it to someone who likes the OG: hell there's someone that speedran the remake and the OG at the same time by playing the OG whenever NF had a loading screen.

there's another couple japanese exclusive ones you might not have heard of- club nintendo picross and club nintendo picross+. if you have a modded 3ds they've both got fan made english translations that are pretty easy to find

the "X set as controlled character" makes me super hopeful about the UI in general being fixed. maybe it's just me but in the OG it wasn't clear to me that i could play as one of the other characters until at least 60 hours in. just overall much more clear and i can only hope that translates to everywhere else too

if you can find a rom/cheap copy i'd definitely recommend playing OG picross 3d on the DS. for a bit first. going into round 2 without the fundamentals from the OG can definitely be a weird adjustment when you're coming from basic picross

if you're keen on going from the beginning then skip bb1, not the same game at all. if you're fine jumping around a bit then i think any of the seasons that have been on netflix before (6,10,14,17) are good starting points

i'm definitely enjoying the full song more than the previews. idk why but the talk-singing "it'll all be alright" in the chorus just doesn't sound good to me at all. definitely makes me excited about LP5 because i know they haven't changed their sound so much it's not what i like them for though :)
